entire sprite sheet showing in animated battle [newbie alert!]

I am using Victor's Basic Module, Animated Battle, and Actors Battlers script. I followed this tutorial and got everything working fine. However, a day later, once I'd made some changes and added some new scripts, now the battles are looking like this:



I've already looked on Victor's site for answers but I didn't find anything (and someone in the comments had this problem but resolved it without sharing the solution)! I've tried deleting scripts to pinpoint the problem and double checked that my minor script changes were not in error, but at this point I don't think I can figure this one out on my own. I'm asking for somebody's help so I can at least know where to look for the problem.

Where have I gone wrong? I apologize in advance (and beg for your mercy) for my noobish-ness. ;_;

what changes have you made? which scripts have you added before it stopped working correctly?

Since yesterday, I believe I added:
Leap attack

Cooperative skill

Shop Options

Enemy HP

Battle Audio

...and that's it.

As for changes, I remember that I changed the position of battlers, but I have made no modifications to Victor's scripts other than the ones I followed in the video, which I posted screenshots for.
 

**Edit: I don't know how much it will help, but for now I'm going to continue to delete scripts and see if anything changes.

Try disabling those scripts 1 by 1 to pinpoint which one interferes with Victor's scripts (the VE scripts are known for incompatibilities anyways)... It might be Enemy HP if I'm gonna assume...

Change action: default to action: charset

change Rie's mode and action to charset

make sure you have the character image file saved with the same name in your battler's folder

and did you set the battler image file in the notes in the character database?

don't delete them, just disable them, CTRL+A then CTRL+ALT+Q... as I said, try to disable each one of those scripts that you added before it stopped working correctly... so that we can determine if it's because of any of those scripts


if not, then you must have changed something. else it wouldn't stop working all of a sudden

.... Well don't I feel stupid now! I was experimenting with whether to use Holder's animated battlers and that's where I started to make mistakes.

Thank you both for your help and your patience. It must be tiring to get questions like these.

**Edit: Sorry Shana, I didn't even know it was possible to disable scripts. Thank you a thousand times for your help.

For the record, I recommend always saving a copy of a script which works before you edit it.

Please include a LINK to the scripts you are using, rather than listing them in the thread, and especially rather than showing screenshots of the bits of script you think are important.


Could it be something to do with your setting the mode to :sprite rather than :charset?
