Hello guys. I was browsing through stuff about RMVX Ace and I stumble upon a Youtube video of Enu's SV Battle System on the web. I Downloaded the demo program and it was working. Well... the problem is, I can't understand the comments written on the Scripts and even configure it as it is totally different than the VX version. While I can understand basic Hiragana and Katakana characters Kanji and any other calligraphy are still scribbles to me for now (I'm trying to understand Kanji but too busy with thesis work).

So well.... Here's my request. Can anyone translate it just like the VX version? I would appreciate it if someone did as I'm kind of used to the SideView Battle System in VX and I want to carry it over.

If I get a good response I'll upload the copy that I got on my Mediafire Account to help everyone get a copy. I hope it is not illegal or anything as I can't tell whether or not it is free to use just like the previous version due to language barriers. The date on the video was around May of this year so I don't know how informed everybody is about this so if I am outdated I do apologize.

The following added features are what I've tested so far:

Panning Camera views, there are animations that zoom in on the character and battle entrances pan cameras as well.

Actors sprites can appear on the left side or right side of the screen, they can appear either on the left side or right side now using a mirror comment on the event.

The action sequences were improves as well and much more fluid unlike in the previous versions. I hope I could be of much help.

I posted screenshots of my test of the demo. I hope I get a good response.

Nope, you can't do that. Read this.

I suggest taking a look at Victor's Battle Engine: http://victorscripts.wordpress.com/rpg-maker-vx-ace/battle-scripts/animated-battle/

Hmmmm... I already tried Victor Battle Engine and I'm not really happy with it no offense to the author as I find the script impressive with all the neat stuff you can do with it. I just find it a little too hard to configure, it took me a year just to figure out Enu's Script and I am a really slow learner. I just want to see the difference between the VX and Ace versions in terms of configurations and I am quite interested with how the panning cameras work in that script. Hehe. I'm just hoping if it's possible but since it is not then I'll just try to make do with my basic knowledge and translate it as best as I can. Thanks for the response though, I really appreciate it. If that's not possible how about the request for a translation of the script?

I tried Google translate but it doesn't make much sense to me.

If you think Victor's Battle Engine is hard, Tankentai Ace is much, much harder to configure. Just as hard as the VX version. You can read my rant here if you want: http://www.rpgmakerv...ers/#entry50668

Otherwise, you can read the instructions on how to use the JP version of the script here: http://www.rpgmakerv...n-instructions/

I doubt that there's anyone currently out there who knows how to properly control the battle camera with that script.

I provide no support for any version of Tankentai, btw.

Yeah. I agree I find Ace too powerful and I know it will take some time for me to get used to it. I'm enjoying the learning experience though. All the mistakes I've been doing, all the errors I'm trying to fix as I code, it's all fun for me and I never get tired. I just hate the fact that I'm not so skilled in coding as the other guys here on the community. I can only design stories and gameplay mechanics but when it comes to actual visuals and scripting I'm still no good and I agree that the the VX version was a tough cookie. The only thing I can do on that thing is design action sequences. I made my own poses and my own actions sequences. I want to learn more actually. I understand the java-like objects, functions and the modular programming codes but the aliasing thing is pretty new to me and even though I've been watching GubiD's tutorials it just doesn't sink into my noggin' yet. Well, at least I know how to troubleshoot basic error stuff. I wish to get better soon. I want to make my own battle engine too. :D

Yay, now back in action Happy Christmas time, coming back!

Back in action to develop the indie game that has been long overdue... Final Fallacy. A game that keeps on giving! The development never ends as the developer thinks to be the smart cookie by coming back and beginning by saying... "Oh bother, this indie game has been long overdue..." How could one resist such? No-one c
So I was playing with filters and this looked interesting...

Versus the normal look...

Kind of gives a very different feel. :LZSexcite:
To whom ever person or persons who re-did the DS/DS+ asset packs for MV (as in, they are all 48x48, and not just x2 the pixel scale) .... THANK-YOU!!!!!!!!! XwwwwX
