RMMV Equipment (armor) with double type

There are 2 equipment slot types, fire and blank.
Fire armor can be placed in its own fire slot + blank, so both.
But blank can only be placed in the blank slot itself.
.
So for eg. fire armor should have both equipment types while blank armor should only have blank as its type?
Is there any solution or plugin for this?

In better details, there are 4 element type armors + blank.
Elemental armors can be placed in their respective elemental slots + blank.
Blank can only be placed in blank.
Sorry if I worded this too complex.

Yeah i'm searching one. Yanfly equip core and item core cant handle this too.

Took a brief gander myself and it looks like it might be able to do what you need as you can define armor type with notetags.

Have you taken a look at Himeworks equip slot core?

Took a brief gander myself and it looks like it might be able to do what you need as you can define armor type with notetags.

tried himeworks' equip slot core and for some reason, the equip type notetag is not working, other note tags are fine tho. wew

edited: I also added yanfly support patch and the notetag is <equip type: Type /> as the plugin provided so it should be working fine but it ain't...

We can't help you based off of that. Please provide a screenshot of your item in the database and an exact description of the problem (does "it ain't" just mean that the extra equip slot isn't being added? The game crashes? Your computer explodes?).

Here I added note tags to faded blaze.



By doing this, the faded blaze should be showing alongside together with "Empty Husk" for the "Blank" equipment type slot but it's not.
I also just tried on and off-ing plugins to find out what's causing the issue and it's still Yanfly's item core. When I turned off yanfly's item core, it works fine.

edited: apparently, yanfly equipcore is causing it too. If I turn it 'off' and drag hime plugin above itemcore, it works. But I can't turn the equipcore on and put hime plugin above it, the game won't start with bunch of errors.

1 - Try swapping their placement in the plugin manager. If the Equip Slots is currently above the Item Core, drag them around. Also make sure the patch is beneath them both.

2 - According to the plugin page, the Equip Slots is not compatible with independent items, so make sure you have that parameter in the Item Core turned off.

1. Yeah, I actually did the switcheroo thing, pls check the above edit.
2. Damn, this might be a problem, my armors use random variance on stats so it can't be independent.

edited: wait, then why did it end up supporting it when I turned off equip core and put it above item core tho? lol

edited: oh wait, no, it doesn't. my bad

edited: It works when I turned off independent items. I guess there's no other way than to work around it for now? would be great if someone does a plugin to bypass it

I haven't looked at the code, but from many plugins that say they won't work with it (including others of Yanfly's), I think that the way independent items are made means they can't use notetags.
