Basic ideal with some little trinkets. A pretty cool concept however is that certain classes can teach skills that's effects are only active if they are equipped though the skills in question teach traits found in that class.

To be more thorough

1.) Skills that when learned, have no applied effect until equipped to the character within a Passive Skill Slot. Once Equipped, the specified Trait is then applied to the character.

2.) An option to disable a certain class from Equipping the skill(Mainly, the class that learned it.)

3.) A script that adds onto the YEA Menu System a command Equip Skill and a menu displaying a list of equippable skills and available Skill slots.

4.) That the passive skill is permanently kept in the characters skill database when learned, even upon changing classes.

RMMV

Just give equipments "Add Skill" features. They will only apply as long as the equipment is on the actor.

2.) An option to disable a certain class from Equipping the skill(Mainly, the class that learned it.)

Could use "Seal Skill" feature on the actor so they can't learn/use it.

4.) That the passive skill is permanently kept in the characters skill database when learned, even upon changing classes.

Actors will always keep the skill permanently learned after changing classes, but you cannot access it unless the new class has access to the Skill Type. I suggest making a new Skill Type specifically for these passives and have each class have access to them. You can then use various scripts/edits to hide that passive Skill Type from menus so they don't show.

There is a lot of specific chains and details that you are saying here that are very tedious and a lot of extra actions and time that I, as well as others that wish to use this potential script, would like to save. Hence the request for something to save such time.

And what if I want a skill to allow different equipment access like 'Equip Sword' on a weapon would be counter intuitive, though that's just a blatant example.

The seal Equip on a character as a whole would ruin the purpose intended of the script.

It's to prevent things like a Ninja class having a natural Trait of 'Dual Wielding' to prevent him from equipping a 'Dual Wield' skill, which could potentially cause overlay problems.

As for the final piece as far as skill storage/availability, that's another big reason why a script would be needed. Giving every character a command with a menu of ALL their skills and then use events to hide is it would be way too clutter both event wise and script wise, and it's better just to incorporate into a script a mechanism for dealing with active skills vs passive skills and a menu for storing and treating these said skills as 'actor skills' upon being learned, rather than as skills of that class.

But honestly, this is a script request. I'm aware that through a large volume of eventing i could pull this off for a skill or two but for every passive skill, it would just be way too much time, hence why I requested a script.

I believe someone already asked for this... I'm not sure if it was solved, but there was one thread... we suggested using Passive Skills + the Equip skills script, with minor edits. try to look for that thread

I am searching for it now, had no luck with Equip Passive Skill when using the search. I'll keep looking though.
