Please give me feedback after you try it out.
Since the game is still in an early stage and there are lots of rooms for improvement, any feedback will really help me a lot. :)

    Thanks. ^^
However, please keep in mind that features mentioned in the description are for the full version, not for the demo. :p
However, the demo should give a good idea about the kind of world that will be portrayed in the full version -> Multiple side quests, non linear gameplay and unique character/story development, and most importantly the humour!

    Features in the current demo:

    - 3-7 hours of gameplay.

    - 2+ hours of main storyline quest and 10 sidequests.

    - Around 80 maps to explore.

    - Non-linear approach, hidden secrets and two bad endings, even in the demo!

    - Join a guild, perform guild activities and complete contracts.

    - Skills developed upto level 20 for all playable characters.

    - Day and night system with calender (calender events are not implemented in the demo)

    - Socketing and embedding runes in equipments are possible (crafting and forging equipments are not implemented in the demo)

    - Please note that custom graphics and art are not used in the demo, but custom character art and other graphics will (most probably) be used in the full version, and are being developed at the moment.

    Hello,
Bumping the topic as I added a major update for the demo.

Here are some of the main features/bug fixes implemented in this update:

    - File size reduction by 50%! No files were removed, only advanced compression methods were implemented. (In fact more files were added in this update)
Now there should be no more excuses about the file size being big... lel!

    - MAJOR Bug fixes, now there should be no bug that causes crashes due to missing files, or NPC switches that hinders the progress of the storyline. Some minor bugs might still be present, but should not affect the gameplay by much.

    - New location added - Miralian Woods!
Now you can progress the storyline even further and should give you an additional 30 minutes to 1 hour of gameplay.
Many secret locations and treasures have been added as well

    - Fighting style system added!
Now you have control over your fighting style which grants you the power to control how TP is gained during battle!

    - New skills have been added for Sharina and Rurouna upto level 20.

    - Many new monsters, locations, traps, secrets etc. have been added. It is upto you to explore and find out the secrets that lie in the world of Arlis.

    - Monster animations, front view monsters will now have motion!

Maybe there are more features I added that I forgot to list in this blog, lol...

    Thank you and happy gaming!!

Thanks for the feedback, it is the only RPG Maker project that I am working on at the moment and I plan to put my full heart and dedication into it. :)
Though it might take a lot of time get the game finished, I am careful not to end it prematurely.

Almost four months in the making and the final demo is finally out! The reason I say this is the final demo is because sadly I won't be adding any more content to the demo versions until I release the final game(There might be a bonus update later just to change the menu design, but that is just a probability, and it won't affect your gameplay).
    What's new in this update:

    - Custom character graphics for made by a professional artist are finally here! (Check characters section for full details).
    - Dynamic lighting for interiors have been added as well. (Now even interiors will have separate lighting based on the time of the day).
    - Completely redesigned battle HUD.
    - 13 new skills added for lower and higher levels including combo skills, introduced scrolls as items.
    - South Eastern part of the Aegean continent is now accessible. New locations -> Minotaur village Kharmos, Shimrock Caves and more.
    - Custom mouse pointer, logo and various new custom graphics have been added.
    - Animated Credits Scene added to Title.
    - Multiple bug and typo fixes, re-written some parts of the dialogue.
    - Slightly remapped Dolonde Caves.

With the final(hopefully) demo released, I will now fully focus on developing the full game, which I hope to release within the third quarter of 2017.
I thank everyone who tried out the game and took their time to give me feedback, your feedbacks helped me resolve some of the issues the game had and managed to improvise. So feel free to download the new version and let me know your thoughts on the game.

First thing I wanna say is that Eredia is really such an interesting and fun-filled mystery and war-themed game! it involves cinematic-like scenes that just makes you want to fully immerse within the story as the scenes carry you throughout the game!! it revolves around a hunter who's up for taking contracts and missions leading to different kinds of adventures!

    INTRO/FIRST IMPRESSIONS:

The intro really gave a feeling of thrill as you wander around enemy camps playing as a very well-known warlord and a supreme elf! I really enjoyed playing through these scenes as it gave me an andrenaline rush from this point ti'll the rest of my playthrough! also the lore-related stuff like projection-magic and dark-silver soldiers was really cool!

Everything about it: the music, the atmosphere, the introductory characters; they were amazingly executed! made me feel like I was in a sort-of high-quality medieval-fantasy film! so to say it simply: the intro made an amazing impression of the game! :)

The UI of the game was also really very eloquent! I liked it! it really helped give the feeling of a medieval fantasy world! The menus, the battle interface, and the character arts were very nicely made!! And I am very amazed at how the game works at real-time! it goes night and day with a working in-game clock/calendar!! very amazing!!

STORY/CHARACTERS: "We surrender".."Really?".."We were just messing with you"! xD

The way the story unfolds and how the global events regarding the Eredia interconnected to the characters was very interesting and intruiging! And I was really quite amused and entertained with the main character "Kenrad", he was introduced immediately to be quite an erotic/narcissistic guy and I find him quite funny, the way he interacts with the NPCs and especially with the ladies!! xDD "there was a mosquito on your leg.. and as a hero--", haha!! and then I got introduced to "Elric" who possesses a psychological disorder which was really quite hilarious and thrilling at the same time (when he told his story and when they converse as he joined the party)! xDD Bernard and Ken's rivalry was also very funny!! I really find the characters and their dialogues with each other very witty and clever! I also love the thrill and mystery the game has regarding this strange girl "Akia" and her connections to the bloodthirsty murdering bandit! The investigation parts were the best and the way the culprit (spoilers) revealed himself, I was like "I knew it!! it was him!!" it really made the mystery more immersive and thrilling to uncover all throughout! it was very well done and nicely executed, especially the scenes with (spoilers) Akia and Shirven, as well as her backstory, very nice and touching!! xD!! :D I also like how "Rurouna" seems to say things that unintentionally had double meaning for others and always have "Sharina" to remind everyone of that! so funny and cute of her! xDD All I can say is that the story is at a smooth sailing and has a really great potential! I also like how each characters crosses paths each time, it's like somehow they are all intertwined to a single objective in the end! ;)

    BATTLES/GAMEPLAY:

The battles really gave that nostalgic RPG sequence that you encounter in classic RPG games! as well as how the characters progresses through-out the game as they level-up was well planned out to better balance and scale with regards to the enemies they start encountering at different places. (reminds me of good o'l FF games). The socketing with rune-stones system was really nice too!

    BUGS Found:

There are some minor bugs I found.. at the INN, when I talk to ariel to rest, she asks for 10 gold, it does subtract my gold by 10, but when I have 0 gold, it will still allow me to rest even though I do not have any more gold! xD also there was a bug when I picked up an item called "Fleet Foot", it says that it can only be equipped upon level 8, but when I "Optimize" one of the char's equipments, it automatically puts the Flee Foot on him/her! xD (also, there were some typos at the conversations during Kenrad's training with Mr. Vinoche, like additional "ME"s sometimes).

    ADDITIONAL REMARKS:

The game really is an overall A- if I were to give it a grade! xDD yes, the demo may still have some bugs and minor typos here and there, but I always see things in Gestalt's point of view, which means it's overall aspects! and they were indeed great!! and I am always looking forward for more! now, I just gotta go back to the game and finish the ever unfinished quest of "Bats".. cause yah.. I forgot that little quest... anyway, I really think the game has great potentials! the music, the story, the characters and well.. the humor!! haha!! very nicely done!! ;)

Wow, thank you for your detailed review!

I am glad you liked the intro so much..
I changed/modified it like around 7 times already, each time I felt like something was off, and then I had to modify it again.
The framework of the UI is mostly based on MOG's scripts, but I used custom design in almost all of it, including the battle hud.
Though I designed the UI myself, the character art was done by a commissioned artist. :D

To me, the characters are the most important part of the game. I tried my best to give them all some unique personalities without having any stereotypical JRPG personality templates. Making the players recognize the characters firstly by their personalities and traits, rather than their class, skills etc. is a daunting task for any developer, and that is where I put most of my focus on. :)
Humour is a really important focus of the game as well, I can't think of creating a dialogue sequence involving Kenrad where he doesn't make fun of someone. xD
All of the playable characters as well as the antiheroes like Akia and Shirven have a very detailed backstory, but I plan to reveal them only in the full version of the game.
The path intertwining was also quite difficult to think of, but it was fun making those sequences for me as a developer. ^^

The battle system and difficulty was set in a way so that grinding won't be necessary to get through the game, but doing at least 40% of the sidequests is strongly recommended to get to the required level/collect enough gold etc. to continue on with the main quest. I will still be adding a lot more to the battle system to make it unique in the full game, including interactive combo systems. Actually there are many more features I plan on adding in the full game, including tournaments, casinos, weapon forging, alchemy etc. but I don't plan on adding more features to the demo unfortunately.

    Thanks for the bug report!
The inn bug was actually intentional. Since Ariel wants to be professional at her job, she still charges Kenrad for the room, but if Ken truly doesn't have the money, she won't restrict him as he is her childhood friend. Maybe I should've put a dialogue there to point it out. :D
About the boots, it happened to me as well, but I couldn't find a way to fix it yet... I will put it up in a Known Bugs/Issues section until I can get it resolved.

Thanks a lot again for the review! I am actually pretty impressed that you managed to finish the game as well as all the side quest except "Bats" in such a short amount of time!
I will keep working to fix the issues and continue with the story, and hopefully release the game in about a year. ;)

I'm glad I was able to help a little through my review! :)  And ahh I see, so Ariel really does intentionally allow Kenrad to sleep for free! xDD and wow, you've got a huge plan going for this game! I am quite interested to see all your designated features come to life!! it must be indeed quite fun!! :D  xDD

Keep at it!! you're indeed going the right way with this! ;)

I been trying out your game demo and i can't wait to be able to play the full version. i'm new to creating rpgmaker stuff so checking others games out gives me my own ideas on whats possible. Though I've no clue how you do some stuff. but i love the art work you have done for some of your actors and the time of day and other ui features they look really good. noticed how you block off people access to certain

areas with a text "not available in demo" to let people know those areas are still being worked on. i have found one bug i don't know if its been mentioned.

After getting multi-shot  and killing one of like 3 mobs lets say, it spawns the first killed mob back into view(Orc in my case) but it doesn't fight or anything.

Just stands there while you fight the other remaining enemies. i can provide more bugs if i find them i've got alot of time on my hands.

Very balanced game and has challenges, money is rough to come by initially and i like the fact the leveling is balanced

(one thing i can't figure out how to do myself yet). stats increase at a 1-2 point increase per level instead of huge number increases or level in 1 to 2 battles. i'm a noob in self training so yeah. but thanks for the great game its very fun compared to many I've played so far. i've played like 5 so far and yours i consider to be number 1 the second is FF- Legend of balance(VX Ace though).  but LOB is finished and not so great art work but makes up for it by its humor and fun game play. yours on the other hand, there isn't really anything wrong with it. its great all around. As a old school gamer that i am i've seen tons of rpg games and recently started looking at a lot of rpgmaker game creations since MV came out so if i can provide input or tips/ideas i will.  Keep up the great work.

Hey, thanks a lot for giving my game a try, and I am really glad you liked it.

I there is no fixed date for the release of the full version, but based on the amount of content I will put in, I am expecting it to be around the third quarter of 2017.

Yes, I am aware of that bug, but unfortunately I haven't found a solution to it yet.

I have mailed the plugin's author recently, and I am waiting for a reply.
Sure, I would love it if you inform me about any bug you find, that would help me out greatly.

The graph for the stat growth can be adjusted directly from the classes part of the database, where you can define how the actors of different classes will grow in stats as they level up.
I haven't played that game you mentioned, but I am really honoured to be the first on that list. ;)

I will be releasing an update soon, depends on how much time it takes me to get the character voices ready.
Thanks, I will be looking forward to your feedback and inputs.

yeah it would figure i would figure out the level thing after you replied back lol oh well but i am now on another feature you might be able to help me with if your up to it. i been searching tutorials on it but can't seem to quite get the right info as to how to do it. i'm sure for some people it may be simple but for a new learner its not so much to just figure it out right away. i want fog on my first map and on some other maps, i'm using Galv's Layer graphics plugin and his tutorial helps to a point but its mainly based around involving a switch and i don't want a switch i just want it to be consistant to being that way similarly to how you got yours at the start of your game. if it involves more about scripting then i'm at a loss there cause thats a new thing entirely i'm barely learning about yet. We all got to start somewhere right. lol man rpgmaker mv say it is suppose to be easy even for a child but i'm 32 and this isn't that easy. but compared to the other engines i can see why they say it though, but still. lol any info if you have the time would be appreciated.

I am using Shaz's plugin for the fog, but I think you can recreate the same effect with other plugins as well.

The overlays do not need to be related to a switch, just create a parallel process event in the map with the plugin command that generates the overlay, and it should appear every time you enter the map.

thanks for the info i figured out how to get it all to work with soul X regalia's fog plugin, way more simple and basic. i can't wait to understand the advanced stuff, i just hope i don't hit a wall and be like not able to know where else to go in my project so far i've been happy with where its heading as i go. making a sort of dungeon crawler rpg. start small work up to something big. anyways i played your demo a bit more and noticed a simple fix if you haven't already done so. when you go to turn in zangierds quest complete to get reward from Gailhen, his text says he gives you 500 in money but its actually 2500. loved the cutscene for akia and her friend casting those 2 large aoe spells toasting all them enemies that was a cool scene. lol
