Sure. Any help will be great. Take your time. ^^I can do it for you, but right now I'm a bit busy cooking my dinner. Can you wait a few hours?
Well, I know shift makes the tile act as if it is a center tile. Not sure what Ctrl does.Hi there!
After some trials and errors editing it, I quickly realized that this chipset is meant for advanced mapping techniques.
Trying to edit it to make autotiles for the water won't solve the problem at all.
Do you already know how to use the Shift and Ctrl keys to draw maps?
What...? I'm not double posting. ._. I'm having a conversation with Cleanwater regarding the Chipset I'm trying to use.[dpost]LightDiviner[/dpost]
If you want to add something, simply edit your earlier post.
Oooooh! I see. I thought Double Post was when you do the same post multiple times. Least that's how I always called it. Sorry. >~<A double post is where you make a post and then, in less than 72 hours, add another one without anyone else posting in between. So you have double posted, as there is only about 12 hours between your 2 posts immediately above mine.
Oh I see! So I can use an autoplaced tile on multiple locations with shift. I knew about ctrl for copying pasting etc though. You had progressed a lot with your mapping skills!
Sorry for the late reply, BTW.
I will do a quick explanation of the Ctrl and Shift map techniques I know so far. It might sound complicated, but once you experiment them yourself you will see they are very easy and intuitive.
Shift - Basically "cancels" auto-tiling system. (Using with pen tool)
Ctrl - with +C or +X and +V. The same thing you do with copy, cut and paste (using the select area tool)
- If you select the tile from the tile palette with Shift pressed, you will draw the center tile in the map.
- If you keep it pressed (selecting a tile or not), you can draw in the map without letting the auto-tile system work.
- If you select a tile in the map while it is pressed and drawn with it still pressed, you draw the selected tile in the map.
I hope this help you when creating maps. Good luck with your project!
P.S.: I played the demo on Game Jolt, it was very short, but I liked the plot so far.
