Essence: The Dungeon

    Hi guys! I recently released a game for Android.

    The game was made with RPG Maker MV, and I had a hard time porting to Android due to performance problems of RPG Maker MV. But I did it! (I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to mv-android-client.)

    The name of the game is Essence: The Dungeon (2.0.1), and it is a turn-based RPG inspired by JRPG and TRPG. It is the first work of the Essence series and aims to familiarize the player with the Essence World.

    In the game, as an adventurer, you have recently heard strange rumors about the kingdom. While investigating the rumors, you are in prison and are forced to clear the dungeon.

    You can download it for free from Google Play, and switch to the full version for $1.99. It means that Yes! I implemented an in-app purchase. (If I have time, I'll write a way to implement the IAP here.)

    The detailed settings of the game are as follows:
    ※ Features
    - Explore the dungeon of the wild, the spirit world, and the outer space!
    - Collect powerful magic and items to clear the dungeon!
    - Battle with powerful enemies based on strategic thinking!

    ※ Controls
    - Single touch : select / move
    - Multi-touch : cancel / menu

    ※ Parameters
    - Attack : normal and special attacks
    - Defense : the damage reduction of physical attacks
    - Focus : magic attacks
    - Resistance : the damage reduction of energy attacks
    - Agility : evasion rates and turn order

    100% RTP apart from a couple of free 3rd party plugins.
    At the beginning it asks you about your skill in rpg for no explained reason.
    Ridiculous encounter rate, but awfully low gains. The combat, where you're apparently supposed to spend the most time, is absolutely boring.
    The teaser talks about strategy, but using basic attacks to grind some exp doesn't look too strategic to me. Dying against badly balanced enemies also doesn't mean fighting difficult enemies.
    When you find items in chests, they get used immediately. Absolutely terrible.
    You need to either drink pots or die to get healed, unless you have a stack of healing items.
    Absolutely no sense of progress in the game.
    Atrocious mapping, the maps look unnatural.
    And apart from sound effects there is no audio to keep me company.

    Did you even play through your game? If yes, I can't understand what's in it to justify higher than 1 star rating or the purchase.

    Of course I've played it many times to adjust the game balance, and the game is designed to be difficult overall. If you learn how to do it, you can have fun.
    However, I thought that it might be difficult for beginners to play the game. In the next work, it will be better.

    I heard that some Samsung phones are showing the distortions, but my phone is ok.

    Try again. This bug sometimes happens for unknown reasons anytime during scene changes, but unless it happens consistently, it's not a game bug.

    Yanfly's visual HP gauge plug-in caused that bug, and I removed it now. Try again.
