It is a bit frustrating that this thread has now been moved when the game has one year of development already and with no communication as to why.

@Vito The Boss I am a little confused on what your question is asking, if you are asking where the graphics came from the answer is i made 95% of the tiles & textures utilized in the game myself.

It was exactly what I ask. Thanks for the answer!

Your maps looks beautiful, keep up the good work! :D

*grumbles angrily to self because I'm far too lazy to make my maps look anywhere near as good*

Visual presentation looks lovely, especially the art style that ventures away from anime. Sure the sprite work would be a problem, but I like where you're going with it. Would like to see some combat though.

@Hellpug Thank you means the world to me to hear positive feedback after putting so much time into this game!

@Fernyfer775 Thank you very much, alot of TLC goes into each map.

@BloodletterQ Sad to hear your not a fan of the sprites, maybe down the line if i receive some funding i will go with a new all custom sprite style.  I am hoping to be able to atleast make a developer blog explaining the combat system within the next few months, i am just very careful about showing stuff before it is ready.

I don't hate them, it's just that they're a little bright. Maybe if you could desaturate them a little to fit in more, it'd work.

An interesting looking project to say the least, it's obvious you've spent a great deal of time developing the world, assets and lore. I'd be interested to see how the gameplay ties everything together, as well as what the combat system looks like and plays likes.

I agree with BloodletterQ that the sprites would fit in more if saturated somewhat, I'm getting a more realistic, grounded and gritty feeling from the world and the characters so I think less bright sprites would tie into this theme nicely.

I am in agreement with both of you guys on the sprites originally i had planned on doing that as i had the same feelings, after looking at them for hours i found it did not bother me, guess i should have gone with my gut on this one. Appreciate the feedback and positive vibes.

on a side not are the images appearing small on anyone else's screen post forum update? Was unsure if it is my pc or change in forum code.

++Eternal Conflict Developer Blog #1++
It has been a productive month here working on Eternal Conflict, for starters i spent some time recruiting an additional team member who could help speed up and improve function of game play and systems. I had a pretty decent amount of personal messages regarding the position and thank all for showing interest, after several Skype discussions we landed on someone with a high level of experience, dedication and passion for our project. Welcome to the team Pierre, you are really helping us move forward with our dreams of creating a highly successful RPG. What this addition means for Eternal Conflict is that there will be more blogs and information coming in the next few months regarding game play. What i can say is that at this point our combat system is progressing, skills are being added into the engine and shape and feel are beginning to take fold!

On the visual aspect of things i figured i would show a freshly completed map "Hakovo Town." This will be the main "hub" area in the first chapter of Eternal Conflict, and i think you can see as you look at it the dark, gritty more realistic low fantasy feel continues in map design and tile creation here. I get messages on deviant art often asking me how long it takes to complete a map of this scale and detail level and i can only answer that it takes time, lots and lots of time. I would estimate that not including tile creation this map easily was over 10 hours of work.

Would any members of the community be interested in youtube videos on the process in which i go about creating tiles and maps? I have contemplated for several months giving back some artistic knowledge to the community for all the support i have received on this sight.

Enjoy the update & Keep supporting us!

Hi everyone! I have the great pleasure of working with Stridah on that project.
My main focus in the coming months will be system design and implementation. We're focusing on the battle system right now, hopefully we'll have something to share with you sooner rather than later.

Have a nice day, and happy making!

so hopefully tomorrow i get to go home from the hospital i've been here for 5 days already and it's driving me mad. I miss my family like crazy but at least I get to use my own toiletries and my own clothes. My mom is coming to visit soon i can't wait to see her cause i miss her the most. :kaojoy:
Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
