I am making a scenario where boulders spawn and roll down through a cave and the player has to duck into side rooms in order to evade the boulders, which, if they hit the player, will kill him! Is there a simply way of making boulder events spawn indefinitely on a map and follow the same move route? Or do I have to actually make each individual boulder event?

Well you could make the boulder event move ( teleport ) back to the location it was before when it reaches the bottom of a map ?

so basically, shut the graphic off, jump the position back to the start and re-run the move route? I figured there was a way to do it like this, but I was primarily wondering if there was a script or function that I was unaware of that did exactly this. Isn't it a little weird that this obvious function doesn't exist?

You just need to use "set event location" and move that boulder back to where you want it to go.

You don't normally use event names in scripts, but their numbers. I haven't looked at the video (and can't while I'm at work).

Can you show a screenshot of your event?

I sorted the problem out -- it was a script of mine interfering with it, when I started a new project the script worked fine and spawned many a boulder. And yes, this script is odd in that it uses the event name rather than ID. To make matters more confusing, it claims that you can use the ID too but doesn't explain exactly how, typing the number in does not work.

Looks like you should just be able to do this:

<spawn-id 5>

so hopefully tomorrow i get to go home from the hospital i've been here for 5 days already and it's driving me mad. I miss my family like crazy but at least I get to use my own toiletries and my own clothes. My mom is coming to visit soon i can't wait to see her cause i miss her the most. :kaojoy:
Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
