Event Light Help

Hello guys, I hope everyone are fine.


I need some help with a event light system.


On the image 1 is the current scenario, I want to activate some lights like the image 2 after the player make an action, but every time I entered in the game this point of light it's already in this way. How can solve this problem?

we can't help unless you show us how you created the lights - there are several ways to handle this and without seeing your events and commands we can't tell you where you made mistakes.

@Yroshima please take more care where your cursor is when making a screenshot and redo that - the help popup makis this unreadable


and I suggest using alt-prtscrn instead of prtscrn for the screenshot, that will limit it to the active window

Are you using a plugin for the lights? If so, which one?


Either way, I think you want to make the lights appear in the middle but they are appearing from the start?
I think it may be because you set it in the notebox and that means it starts automatically. Try calling it (how depends on the plugin) whenever you want it to light up.

Waterguy, if I take it out of the notebox no light will appear.

it is hard to help without knowing the plugin you are using, and with it, the commands you, can use, need to use, etc.

Ok, now that I know it is Terrax...


I'm just reading the help file on the github folder, but..


Your main mistake: you are making the events parallel processes, when the commands are only needed once.


Do not make events parallel process unless you need them repeating constantly, and even so ad a wait of about 5 frames at the end.


And no, making them empty is no good either.


Your other mistake is that you are setting them all to run right when you enter the map, when you do not want that.


Try using an Autorun event to call the plugin commands "Light off 1" (not sure if this one is needed if you don't put parallels turning it on, but for guatantee), "Tint set #000000" and "Light Radius 50 #FFFFFF" right when you enter the room, then make it temporary erase itself.


Then, when you do the event you want to turn the lights on, do the plugin command "Light on 1" on that event.
