How do you get the name of an event from javascript? The best I can gather is Game_Event inherits from Game_CharacterBase, which has a _characterName property, but that doesn't seem to be it. I'm sure I'm missing something somewhere...

_characterName is the name of the sprite.

Game_Event.prototype.event gives you the event you see in the editor.  You could use $dataMap.events[id].name or if you have the event object ($gameMap.event(id) or however you are accessing the event itself), use evtobj.event().name

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
