Event on floor activated by player touch?

I'm trying to create a simple event that is triggered when a player walks on a certain tile in a row of tiles. However the event will not trigger no matter what the priority or trigger is set to. I also want the whole row of events to be made inactive after one is touched. So I have two questions - How do I make the tile triggered by a player entering it, and how do I make one event deactivate many others? Below are screenshots of the game screen and one of the events (they are all identical in the row).

What's Page 2? If Page 2 is set up wrong, the event will never run, as RPGMaker runs the highest number page which is valid at that point in time.

I would make them all Below character and Player touch.
Then the second tab will have self-switch A on and
code $game_self_switches[[Map ID, Event ID, 'Self_Switch']] = true
$game_self_switches[[9, 1, 'A']] = true

Oops. I had forgotten to make self switch A activate on page 2, so it was blank and the event wasn't triggered. I spent an hour trying to fix that. Thanks for the replies tho

Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
