Hey guys,

I want to make it so after Event004 moves to his ending position it doesn't autorun his script again. I will supply photos of both events running to make the cinematic happen.

Event003 happens first

Then Event004.

Hopefully this is enough info. Let me know if I can be of any more help!

By the way, Event004 autorun starts at the 'wait 100 frames' command I believe.

Paul

Don't use Erase event. This will only erase the event for the time being, and whenever the player get's back to the map the event will run again. Instead, put a self switch to be on and add a second event page with Self-switch A = ON. If you want the second autorun (or paralell?) event to happen after the first one, just add it in another event page with the same method (put self switch On and add it as a condition in the other event page).

Also, if you are not using switch: Up as a switch that will effect a different event, you can just use a self switch instead (or just add the entire event on a single page).

RMMV
By design, parallel process and autorun events will continue to repeat until you do something to stop them. That something must be either erasing the event (if you want it to run again when you come back to this map) or turning on a switch or self switch, and adding an extra event page that's conditioned by that switch or self switch, and set to a regular type of trigger (not autorun or parallel process).

Also, since your event is set with a parallel process trigger, the player could walk around while all this is happening. Is that what you want? If not, you need to change the trigger to Autorun.

Be careful with your terminology - event commands and scripting are not the same thing. Scripting is actually going in and changing the RGSS scripts, and has very little to do with eventing.

Thanks a lot guys I fixed it but I have another question. What command do you use in order to make sure an event only happens once (and cannot be reactivated after re entering the room/area. Do I need to make a switch that tracks how many times I enter the room?

For a single event all you have to do is to add a Self switch to be ON (At the location where you want the event to stop), and add a second (empty) event page with the condition of the Self switch (A,B,C,D) to be ON.

(A,B,C,D is whatever Self switch that you are using at that specific time). As long as this event has the Self-Switch ON, it will never appear again as long as you don't set the Self-switch to be OFF.

This is for a single event, if you are using an event that effect different events, you will have to use a normal switch.

Also, I suggest you to read Andar's guide for new users. It helps a lot when you are just starting out:

You can find it here:

I suggest you read up on switches and self switches and get to know what they are and how they're used. You will be using them a lot.

Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
