Hello everyone, I recently have discovered the joy of switches and decided to run a event in which the Player talks to a NPC who gives him a quest to retrieve a set number of items, and then have dialogue afterwords without the player having to go through the initial dialogue again, below are screen shots, of the event in which I'm not sure if I have the switches set properly, any help will be appreciated

seems a little messy to me. first off if you havent tested it out yet go ahead and test it out. if it works then great. but if it messes up somewere along the way it would be easier to help if we knew were it was messing up at

Oh sorry it messes up when I go to speak to him again after getting the mushrooms, the dialogue reverts to the first page and I have to speak to him again to get the rest of the event to run.

I'm confused why you are setting the variable to 5 already, when the player is supposed to gather the mushrooms themselves. Only turn on the self switch in the first event page, and do not use exit event processing in this case (it will make the event stop processing at that exact point, so the self switch will not be turned on if the player chooses 'no').


The last event page should not be set to parallel process, but to action button instead.

Sorry everyone I checked out a tutorial thanks to Grandma Deb! I wasn't specifying the check player inventory to see if the player had the item in his inventory.

You know.. I... I kinda lost my interest in living a long time ago. What sustains me is a lack of interest in dying.

Well, now all of my Refreshable Events scripts also feature some brand new demos to let people see how easy it is to let the script handle the refreshing of a given set of events. All of this with just one specific script call per event!
