This is not a "complex event system". Just give them a custom autonomous move route that makes it look like they're fighting - if they are actually moving from one tile to another. If they're not even doing that, and you just want them to animate (maybe if you create sprites that have swords), check the Stepping Animation box.

I'm not sure if this qualifies as...well... complex. but to me it seems pretty difficult. im trying to make a starting event sequence where you can pick character gender, then it fades to another screen that shows multiple glowing gems as the class selection, and you have to interact with them to read what they are/what they mean, and iit gives you the option to choose this class "y/n" if yes, the game begins (to character creation..if i can figure that out) , if no, the player can check out the other classes.

i found a script for character customization and i wanted to also run it after these events occur.

ive tried several times but sadly it just eternally loops me in gender selection....not to mention i dont know how i'd set it up to get the gems to change your class....

That is not an event "system".  It sounds like it's simply an event set to parallel process or autorun that you haven't ended correctly.  Please start a new thread and include screenshots of the events.
