Events Attack Each Other

Hi All

Wonder if anyone can help
In the pursuit of making my environments more active i'd like to be able to make events interact upon touching one another

For example when this barrel hits the Lamia I want it to play an animation and erase the Lamia

HOWEVER it needs to be able to miss

When the collision occurs that would flatten the Lamia, can you run a conditional check based on a random number or something? In one branch, it dies. In the other, it jumps out of the way.

I'm not to sure how'd you do that

my main issue is getting an event to trigger when two events touch instead of when the event touches the player.

As the first action just changes the barrel to a fixed movement of down so the player can continue moving once it has triggered the barrel

The second being for it to know which event it has touched

I'm thinking I need something along the likes of the below to know whether it is obstructed

Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
