Sorry if this was already asked before, but I couldn't find it anywhere. Anyway, for some reason my events run on a slower pace than the player, even with the highest frequency activated and the same speed. It's like they're "lagging" but I
tried removing all my scripts and it still happened. What do? I need this for my chase sequences. It doesn't help that the events already run all over the place instead of going straight to the player too...

if you dash, the player will always be faster.

I'm talking about the same speed in the way that: player has normal speed, event has speed as fast, so if player dashes player will walk at the fast speed setting. This way, while sprinting both should be at the same speed, while when not sprinting the event should be faster.

So what are you trying to achieve?
Events have no dash function at default, you could just emulate it.

As I stated in the original post, I intend to make a chase sequence where the chaser runs at the dashing speed of the player, so if you don't dash he'll catch you. If you do dash, you'll both mantain the same distance (not considering obstacles) like you see in most rpg horror games. For some reason tho, the event always lags, losing distance to the player even if they're supposed to move at the same speed. I don't remember this being a problem when I used mv, and I'm not sure that's how it really works in vxace, since it looks kinda glitchy. The event moves like the frequency isn't set as always moving, but I did set it like that.

Well now i have a better understanding about that.
If you already tried to set up the frequency and move speed and still couldn't fix that, it's weird.

Did you already try it out at a new fresh game Project?

Well it's in portuguese so I hope you understand what I put in there.

There's also the route, now don't mind the command, it doesn't really affect anything, I put it there to try fixing the issue but I have other chase sequences were I forgot to put that command and the same error occurs.screenshot2.JPG

Well, apparently it doesn't happen in other projects, but I have already tried removing all my scripts and it still doesn't change anything. Also, the chaser still moves like a lost baby while trying to follow the player, but it moves at the same speed so.

Speed 6, frequency 5, worked fine on my end with a heavily modded engine.

Have you tried it in the blank test map in the same project and only use move left/right/any direction and try to race with the player?

Edit: Did you use my chase event script?

Yes, I did try that. Still lags behind.
I'm not sure where I got that script from, it didn't make a diference on this problem so I kinda forgot about it...

Hhm.. if even the script don't effect about that problem, my last hint would to import your current game Project into a new one, but make sure to make a backup of your game Project of course. Maybe it helps out.

For the sake of testing, try this if this fixes. This is not a proper fix, just to test.
Code:
class Game_Event
  def real_move_speed
    return $game_player.real_move_speed
  end
end
Try to recreate the racing event as I did.

Oh, I see what you did there. I don't exactly want the event to dash as the player does, I want it to always be "dashing" regardless of the player. And no, it still doesn't work, the event still lags away.

EDIT: Apparently it happens in other projects too.
