I'm just so lost and confused at why this is happening. Every time I switch and work on another event in another map, the one I just finished deletes itself. When I try to paste it back, it doesn't work and I have to redo it. But for whatever reason, the old one still runs after I do make a new one. Even after I deleted it. No other events are there to run it so I just don't understand any of it.

That sounds very odd! Any chance you could post a video of your desktop and go through the whole process so we can see?

Also, have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling Ace? Do you have the Steam version? If so, you could validate files to see if anything is corrupt.

where exactly are you storing your project?

that sounds as if something is overwriting your files with an older backup, or preventing saving the mapfiles or something like that.
and that could either be a problem with folder restrictions or with cloudsync's or something like that.

for example there was someone years ago who made the mistake of working on the steam workshop copy of a project instead of the original project files, resulting in a lot of problems due to steams tries to keep the copy sync'ed with the workshop.

I have all my things stored in a folder inside of documents

I am using the steam version but I am using lite for now instead of the retail version. I couldn't get it to change tabs while recording and I don't know if you can actually see them but the first one is after they were deleted and the second one is them still running when they don't exist in the map anymore. Also I haven't tried reinstalling them so I guess I'll try that.

that is not enough info - there is a reason why I used "exactly" in my question.
Microsoft tries to get you to store your document folder into the cloud, and that is one thing that can cause a lot of problems. However the folderpath to your project will tell if that happened to you.

so please give the exactl location of your projects in the format of "c:\foldername\foldername\foldername" etc.

Ace Lite has some limitation as to the number of database objects, maps and events.
How many events do you have on each map? Because if you are already at the maximum limit, the editor will refuse to add more events.

in that case I really suggest you use the current sale (or the upcoming steam winter sale) to get the full Ace cheaply. you can usually find a steam reseller where it is at more than 90% off at those sales.
please check:

C:\Users\(myuser)\Documents\RMVXA and all my games are located in separate folders there

One of the maps has hit the limit but the ones I'm having issues with only have 6 events.

Thank you! I would have missed that otherwise

that is all OK - I'm out of ideas as to what the cause might be.

You don't have to start over. The project you began in Lite will load into the full version.
