Synopsis
Welcome to Daga; a realm where mortals dwell, home to humans and elven kind alike. Peace has reigned for the majority of this 3rd Age of mankind. Civilizations have flourished; cultures have expanded, alliances have formed, and the lands of man are ripe with ample adventure. Much of the world has forgotten the events of the past. Save for accounts and tales that survived the horrors of the 2nd Age, outside of the church doctrine. All conclude, however, times were far darker than any have known for the last four centuries.

A young noble of the north journeys by ship to the city of Orlo. He is to wed the daughter of one of the ruling families within its walls, as apart of a trade-deal between the two families. While he gazes out at the ocean, a mage attempts to understand an alien-presence that has lingered about the ship since earlier that morning...


Setting
Daga is a world with a great deal of unknowns - lost to time, no longer commonly known, etc. There are hidden areas throughout the world you may stumble across while adventuring. These are varied areas, of course; secret dungeons to delve into, a treasure to be acquired, or lore to be uncovered/rediscovered.


Gameplay
-Pretty big one, so I'll get it out of the way now: When a character is revived from death, they will lose a level. Unless you have an item in your inventory that the game will check for. You are then given the option to use the item, which prevents all fallen allies being revived to not lose a level. Note: the level loss will only happen due to deaths in winnable fights.

- Turn-based Combat: I haven't changed formulas for turn order, preemptive strikes, nor the party being ambushed. I have changed and created skills among other things - damage formulas, states (what some do and duration's). It is just slightly modified aesthetically, using personal modifications to the layout and Yanfly's visual-battlers, though I am toying with the idea of adding a turn-order gauge. The strategy that has developed in the game thus far would slightly be changed, based on the script if such were applied of course.

- Character Interaction: When at an Inn/Tavern, you will be able to speak with your party members. They will disperse into different parts of the building for you to approach. New dialogue strings will unlock depending on some choices, events undergone during a side-quest that would affect a characters' development, or current spot in the main-plot. (This is still being implemented, but you can speak with 'Ulfar' and 'Celena' currently.

- Acquiring Skills: Characters will learn new abilities either by leveling up, or via another avenue. One such way for example is by purchasing scrolls for the Sage, Ulfar, to read and learn a new spell or special ability.

- General Skill Info: This game uses Yanfly's TP Mode script. Most skills in the game require TP to use, or both TP and MP. Some abilities have a cool-down, while some others will provide both a buff and a debuff. The latter of which I'm still working on implementing.

- The current demo only has 4 characters, but 8(at most) will be in the party by the end of the full game.

-There are books of lore you can read throughout the game as well. I haven't put them all in yet, as I'm still working on them. This demo has two available. The next update will have three or five.

Update:
- better phrased somethings under "Gameplay". Such as the combat description. Did a poor job of it before.
- added a screenshot, and brief quips about each screenshot.
- forgot to add battle-backs to the dungeon the screenshot was taken in.

If anyone has tried this yet, I'd love to know your thoughts. Any and all feedback is welcomed!

Started playing EE. Nice job.
I wanted to report a couple things, though.
In the first conversation with Gregory, a couple lines are cramped at the end. I don't remember the exact text, but, the last word of one line is with and the other is me. Didn't know if that was ok with you.
Post battle comments:
One says "Stay vigilant the next battle may be even"
The other says"Hold on while I collect somethings"

In the Cafe,when you talk to Rin, no matter what choice you chose, it just keeps going back to the choices.
Believe me, these aren't complaints, just reports.
Now...back to EE.

Thank you for giving EE a play. I'll have to look into the conversation with Gregory, as well as the post-battle comments tomorrow. Way too tired to do that right now.

And under my gameplay features, I did mention how only Ulfar and Celena have dialogue there. It isn't a mistake - no worries! I appreciate your feedback and hope you enjoy the rest of the demo!

There is a place in the mine, where you go through a hole to get a chest.
I was unable to get out. had to reset game.
I am going to try it again.

Update:
  • New demo is up; one with the RTP, one without.
  • Rin now has dialogues when spoken with, and both Ulfar and Celena have had theirs updated.
  • The issue with being unable to return from certain spots in the mines has been fixed, my fault for not marking a tile properly in the database. Whoops.
  • Some enemies were updated, such as the bandits and the Wo'jin. You should have an easier time now. The bandits had a wonky formula going on in a special attack I had made, but I have fixed it.
  • I am holding off on adding the books to the game. As of right now, I want to get more done before including them.
  • The current demo will end shortly after you have acquired the sixth party member.
  • Two areas were re-mapped, slightly. The temple and library on the first island (Dashnor).
I hope everyone can enjoy this one. I apologize for both the wait and three issues with the prior demo, as dnel and others had mentioned to me. From the start of the game to the end of this demo, it should take roughly four hours. Thank you to dnel and everyone else that has given my game a chance.

Couple things I mentioned before about first conversation with Gregory.
Word "me" cramped at end of one line.
Word "with" cut off in another line. Only shows wi.
Leather Hap?

After the cellar mission with Ulfar and Rin, whether you watch
or skip the cut scene,as soon as the question of Babel Tower,and they
both say no , all buttons become unusable. Even "esc"
Again, only reporting, not picking.
Interesting story, too, btw.

Thank you for letting me know about the cut offs, I thought I had fixed those. Leather Hap is actually a default name for that equipment. So after the cave portion is over, and thr tower is brought up, buttons stopped working? I'll look into it later when I get home. Leaving for work in a few.

Thank you for taking the time to replay the whole game!

Edit: I've fixed the issue with the cutscene, and the dialogues dnel has pointed out. My apologies for the mishap.

One thing I found, inadvertently: If you go to the church in Lorden, and
select "Revive Party Member,whether a party member has died or not, the
entire party will be totally refreshed HP and MP.If someone has died, it will revive, and also, refresh all members.

For the merchant with nothing to sell, both "will" and "should" fit as well as the other. One is definite, but it implies there will be no delays in him acquiring his wares.
Leek = a vegetable, tastes sort of like an onion.
Thank you for the typos for both Ulfar and Rin! However, the latest copy of the demo has all of those cut-offs fixed for Celena's dialogue.

Good luck! So long as you go in stocked with some items, I'm sure you'll be just fine! Thank you again for playing my game and taking your time to let me know about things like these. ^_^

Awesome! The party has new conversations you can have with them, by the way. You can even talk about prior conversations with them if you ever want to. Did you happen to find the grove Celena spoke about?

There are quite a lot of forest areas near Loren. You should be able to use your prior saves right now. Once I've added a "quest log" is when you shouldn't try using prior saves. Are you having trouble with using them?

No, I haven't tried. Did find the forest and sapphire, though. The description for "Stoic is cut off. The word "from" only has fr. I had this problem when I made my game. Fit fine in editor box, but ran over in playtest.

Well, my cat died. Just had a feeling something was off, and went to check.
Someone abandoned her a while ago when she was pregnant, and she wandered into my yard.
Took her to the vet, and did all the usual stuff, making sure she had all the shots and no one was looking for her.
She had the kittens. I kept 1, and found a home for the rest. (Continued because of the limit)
