Hello,

I'm trying to make an item that gives EXP to a party member of your choice. Unfortunately, I've run into a bit of a dead end.

The closest I've gotten is making the item deal / recover HP / MP and in the damage formula, having the actor gain EXP. But, I've only managed to find formulas for VX Ace and not MV. Specifically, b.gainExp(5000). But that gives me errors.

Any ideas on how to make an item give the recipient a set amount of EXP?

The formula must return a numeric value, so instead use b.gainExp(5000); 0

Also, the item must be usable (for example, an item that recovers HP is not usable if the target have full HP)

A good work around this is making the item add a dummy state and remove the same state. This way the item will be always usable, even if the actor HP is full.

That's perfect! You're a lifesaver! Thank you! It's working as intended now. :)

Actually, update. Not working quite as intended. :(  If I use an item on anyone in my main party, it's fine. If I use it on someone who's there but not in the active party, it has no effect.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
