Yup. As the title said.

I love composing musics. Make song, edit sounds and use Garageband to make songs.

But when comes to make games (RPG Maker mostly), I’m kinda hype. Making title theme, adventure theme, drama theme, battle theme, etc. But it’s hard. Sometimes the songs that I composed (maybe you too) made me sleep, bored, made me wanna quit and playing Super Cyborg (run n’ gun platformer game with awesome musics).

That’s why experimenting music for game is.........kinda important (maybe). Gonna find something that makes the game awesome, fit the genre, cool sounds and change the outcome.

You can tell your story how you experimenting the music for games. But, me first.

One of my favourite setup battle where all characters change into neon-like theme and the 80’s Synth theme-like song played. I love the sound of the music and fits the battle game.
I used Garageband on my iPad, made melodic rhythm, bass and synth like 80’s. Sounds awesome. But there’s problem. It repeated the same melody and no uplift pad sound that makes players getting bored (even me). I have to fix the problem.

My question: How you guys experimenting song(s) for your game(s)?

I used a combination of either Music Maker (for the synth instruments, not the loops) or Mixcraft 7 to live record myself and did some synth with loop stuff. I'm wanting to get mixcraft 8 studio pro though, been working so much, no days off, hard to get any thing done. Love chatting with my meowies, and all that also, so hard to really put time out there to record and play music. I I don't think I used Music Maker for my own game, but I want to at some point. Major differences in Music Maker and Mixcraft.

I listened to a few from @HydrangeaxxGlitch , really talented meow.

Honestly, I plan ahead a lot. Choose which instruments I want to reflect whatever, pick the style, general rhythm, I listen to other music for reference, then I sit by my keyboard and come up with a chord progression I like for the mood I'm aiming for, come up with a form and then I write it all down onto sheet music with Finale. What I generally struggle the most with is the theme (I suck at themes) but having the chords, rhythm and instruments usually give me just enough of a framework to allow me to put something acceptable together. Then I mix it with Garage Band but it's really just the finishing touches. You really have to know your music to do that though, I realize that although you can learn to do it like anything else, it takes a fair bit of know-how.

Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
How many parameters is 'too many'??
Yay, now back in action Happy Christmas time, coming back!

Back in action to develop the indie game that has been long overdue... Final Fallacy. A game that keeps on giving! The development never ends as the developer thinks to be the smart cookie by coming back and beginning by saying... "Oh bother, this indie game has been long overdue..." How could one resist such? No-one c
So I was playing with filters and this looked interesting...

Versus the normal look...

Kind of gives a very different feel. :LZSexcite:
