Exporting eight different portraits in one file.

While making my actor's sprites in the character generator I noticed we have slots for up to eight faces per file. However I'm having trouble "selecting" a new spot. How can I cram eight different characters into one file? I noticed that with the Actor1 file it's already setup like this.

Hey, yeah, this is pretty easy, and it works for faces, on-map walking sprites, and damage sprites.  The battle sprite is the only one that doesn't do it.

So you design your face, then click on Export Face (or whatever it says).  Then you choose Import and select the file you want to add the current face to.  That'll bring it up with your new face probably overlapping one of the existing ones.  Just click in the blank spot and the face will move to that location.  When you're happy with it, click Export and save it.

The most troublesome thing I've found is that I sometimes hit close without actually exporting, and it doesn't give me a warning.  By the time I find out, I've already changed the face and have another design, so I have to save the new one, then go back and recreate the previous one.

I got it working, thanks Shaz!

Also, are the devs good about pushing out updates? I've read about some bugs and lack of features in some reviews. I understand the software is very new and the devs will need some time, I'm just unfamiliar with how they've handled new releases in the past.

They're working as fast as they can, but they didn't work on weekend - and the software was released last friday.

An update has already been provided that fixes a number of bugs reported.  We've been testing it today.  I expect it'll be available within the next 24 hours.  There will be an announcement, probably an email, and steam will update automatically, when it's ready to go out.

The Japanese dev team didn't work over the weekend. :p (I just want to clarify, because me and Archeia worked like, a ridic number of hours over the weekend.)

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
Can someone recommend some fun story-heavy RPGs to me? Coming up with good gameplay is a nightmare! I was thinking of making some gameplay platforming-based, but that doesn't work well in RPG form*. I also was thinking of removing battles, but that would be too much like OneShot. I don't even know how to make good puzzles!
one bad plugin combo later and one of my followers is moonwalking off the screen on his own... I didn't even more yet on the new map lol.
