Exporting HTML

Hey guys, I continue time and time again to export my game for HTML and I've tried in what I believe is every possible way. Yet when I upload the game into a browser it gets stuck on a now loading screen and stays that way. Am I doing something wrong or missing something? I'm not sure but I didn't have any issues prior to the new updates past like 1.4.

By uploading into a browser, do you mean that you are uploading the game to your server and then opening it in your browser? Is the game on the web where someone else can test it, too?

I think it generally means it's failing to load a resource. When you export, do you check the Exclude Unused Resources box? Do you have any plugins that use their own resources (like an animated title screen, maybe)? If so, those would not be included when you check that option. Try exporting without checking that box and see if it makes a difference.

that often happens if some of your resources have filenames that are wrong under networking rules - as soon as you move to the web, the windows override that allows non-networking filenames no longer exists.
So check all your files for non-latin letters, spaces and so on - anything forbidden under networking rules needs to be renamed. And then of course you need to correct the link in the editor to the new name.

Thank you guys. This information is very helpful. I think I'll just sideline the HTML and go for the downloadable.

I zip the entire file and upload it with the index. But it still draws issues from individual plugins.
