Exporting or "deployment" in RMMV (failed to create a distribution package)

A game I made in vx ace can't be deployed in rpg maker mv.

I have made it fully or at least 95% compatible with MV, does it need to be in a 100% working state?

Are/Is there any "illegal" file type(s) which can prevent it from deploying?

Is there any way i can check what is preventing it from deploying?

For what deployment do you try it?


Deployment for mobile needs other sound files than deployment for windows for example, that's why the help file requires two variants of each soundfile inthe game.


And there might be other problems when converting an Ace game, for example all script commands and custom scripts need to be replaced with their javascript equivalents.

I tried all deployment platform but none of them work.

I converted all audio files to ogg and deleted all mp3, wma and m4a files.

Does that mean that they need to be in another format too which is m4a then?

The game itself works almost perfect, no critical errors at least.

if the game works in playtest, it might be that the target folder is restricted - where do you try to save the deployment to? How much free disc space is on that drive?

I try to save it on the desktop, playtest works.

EDIT: the free space is around 20-30 gb.

when i make a clean new project and save it, the deployment works.

I semi-fixed it now.

By first deploying and then copying the remaining files to the deployed version and it seems to be working perfect.

Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
