Make triple sure you copied into the correct folders. The error you're seeing is because you've not copied your exported MV project files to the correct place.

You need to contact the author of Chrono engine - some Plugins have only been created and tested for desktop and not web/mobile so you need to speak to the author to fix their Plugin compatibility.

Would you consider adding an option for android ports to store "saves" in internal or external storage (SD) ?
Now, saves are not accessible for users, so they can't back up their progress. I found this one "android dev kit" which says "v1.1 has new feature saving game data to actual Android local storage.", but I'd like to use this one instead. I could commission for this, probably a lot of people would appreciate this.

Hi !
I use your method for a while now, and everything was alright.
But today, don't know why, nothing work, i've tried everything, when i export on android, there is just a black screen, with a little green icon on the top left.

I've tried with my backup from 2-3 days ago (working perfectly 2-3 days ago, but not now), tried with brand new game.

So i conclude i made a mistake on android studio, but i didn't touch nothing, so i don't really know what happen !

If someone have a tips i'll be glad !

EDIT 1 : The only change i notice is when i export the game there is a message :

NOTE :
Downloads\AltimitSystems-mv-android-client-6b33d6f\AltimitSystems-mv-android-client-6b33d6f\app\src\webview\java\systems\altimit\rpgmakermv\WebPlayerView.java uses or overrides a deprecated API.
Note: Recompile with -Xlint:deprecation for details.

Don't know if that help.

You need to open the BGM folder and convert the missing files to m4a.

Any files with spaces in their names won't run on any non-windows devices. You need to remove the space from the filename.

New to AS, but had to updated my game and had similar problems. Drove me insane that I couldn't delete the release and debug apks and aabs. For me doing "Clean" and "rebuild" under the build tab, then save all, turn off AS, turn on, again clean then rebuild and finally generate signed apk fixed it. Try that If no one has a better way (feels rly forced this way).

I've been trying to figure out how to do this on Android studio 4.0 For 2 days. I have no idea what to do. A lot of options like picking a build version and creating an assets folder just don't exist anymore from what I can see. Can some please help?

Hi guys... I finally manage to release my game up to signature release ver, but Google Play rejects my file due to APK size, so how can I reduce my APK size? I've got a youtube tutorial for that but the buildTypes is different...

If I remembered correctly, the apk size limit's about 100MB.
I've a small project(with just 2 maps) with compressed audios and images, and it's already 74MB.
So maybe you might have to consider releasing your apk in some ways other than Google Play, at least as the last resort :)

Hi there!
There are two steps you can take that can greatly reduce your game size.
First of all, compress all your images in Tiny Png. Don't worry, it will not reduce the quality of the image, but it will reduce the size(MB).
Second, use the plugin from @biud436 "Rs_OnlyOgg.js". You can look at his site and search for it. This plugin is plug and play, so after you installed it, you can remove all your m4a audio files. Leaving only the .ogg

Another thing is to remove everything you don't use in your game. Audios, images, etc.. If you are not using, remove it.

After all that your game still is more than 100MB, you can try the app bundle(or apk bundle, forgot the name) it is another way to put a game in the Google Play store with Android Studio. If I'm not wrong, the max size for that is 125 or 150 MB.

There are the things that I've to do for my game. And it is all Parallax. I think it got 30 or 60 MB...

@Eliaquim I might try the compression for now wince the graphics are 2/3 of the size alone. Let's see what happened next...
UPDATE: Alright, I've compressed all of the images and I go from 350s MB to 235 MB, and I test played it, it still works, but it's still kind of too big for Google play afaik, so any other way to reduce it even further?

Do you replaced the audio too? To use only .ogg extensions instead of .m4a ?

I didn't since my Android studio sometimes throw error even if I have all of the resources, but I finally manage to get it in without error... now I have my Android size to 131.6 MB if I launch it in .aab format, but now Google throws this warning
1597578336460.png
I've tried running it in my phone and it doesn't work... (since it needs APK)
Btw I found this video
but it's for apps, so I'm not sure if this method works... since the format differs a bit.

UPDATE: if I use the .ogg only plugin, somehow, when I deploy the game for Android, it doesn't export the audio files.

Yes, you have to export mannualy. You just exclude every m4a file. So ir will only leave the .ogg.
When you deploy your game, you just copy and paste the files.
Don't know about this warning. I used the altimit system with the other way instead of apk, the other file. And didn't get any error. But I do that one year ago.

Happy Friday, y'all! I just got home from work and am sitting down with a nice cider, and I'm ready to chill and enjoy myself. Not sure if I'm gonna dive into any of my game-related projects or not tonight.... we'll see how I feel after unwinding for a bit I guess!
