Salutation,

I have added a feature to the Skill Mastery plugin of Yanfly, and I want to know what would be the best way to share these modifications. Here are the options I considered:
  • Contact someone of the Yanfly team
  • Make a plugin that overrite parts of the Skill Mastery plugin (as an extension)
I can't seem to find contact information for any member of the Yanfly team (Tigress, Chickie, Sylvester) . Could anyone tell me if that team is still active despise Yanfly's retirement? If so, where and how can I contact them? (The videos on youtube only mention nicknames that don't seem to match anyone on this forum)

As for making my own extension, I am unsure if it's legit to do this, since my code would be dependant of Yanfly's works. Could anyone tell me if extending another's plugin is okay?

I know it's a rather odd post, but I would appreciate if someone could sheed some lights on my questions.

PS: I have searched Youtube, Discord, this forum to know where to ask this question. I haven't found a thread compatible with my needs so I am posting it here for the time being. If any moderator sees this, could you tell me where thread of this nature should be posted?

Is it one of Yanfly's free plugins or paid? In either case, the best approach would be to make a patch type of plugin that can be used WITH Yanfly's, rather than edit the plugin so it's used INSTEAD of.

(Weird, I didn't receive any notification when you posted)

It's a paid plugin. I guess it could work to patch the plugin by creating another plugin (extension). Though I fear some part of my plugin would be copy-pasted from Yanfly's (the part where I need to call my own code). If it were free, I wouldn't mind, because the code is accessible to anyone anyway.

On the other hand, I only need to copy-paste one of Yanfly's function (~30 lines of code, on a total of ~800). This still leek paid code to anyone, but they can't use these 30 lines of code alone.

So, my plugin would be free, but people would need to buy the Yanfly plugin to use it. Of course, I would credit the Yanfly team for the original code. Does that seems okay?

I want to share my (small) work, but I also want to avoid "term of use" issue that may arise. I didn't see anything on Yanfly's site that explicitly prevent people from patching the plugin using their own plugin. This is why I wanted to contact someone who work (worked?) on the team.

Our latest feature is an interview with... me?!

People4_2 (Capelet off and on) added!

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
Can someone recommend some fun story-heavy RPGs to me? Coming up with good gameplay is a nightmare! I was thinking of making some gameplay platforming-based, but that doesn't work well in RPG form*. I also was thinking of removing battles, but that would be too much like OneShot. I don't even know how to make good puzzles!
one bad plugin combo later and one of my followers is moonwalking off the screen on his own... I didn't even more yet on the new map lol.
