the last time I tried asking for this nothing went well. i ended up having to completely copy

over my whole project because the script that was given to me broke my ability to start a new game,

and even in the end what I was asking was kind of in bits and pieces, so basically, i just decided

"Let's just try this again, From the Top!" so that hopefully a fresh start will help things go along a little better

I've looked everywhere and I've only found two scripts anywhere near what I'm looking for

and they're all still miles away so basically here's what I'm looking for

*something that can turn on an individual switch in a global save (no turning off)

*one that can allow me to have an "Extras" option on the title screen that

goes to a special map and loads the global save data (and hopefully can turn on some "beat the extra modes" switches)

so that you have a menu to access the extra modes but only if the switches associated with them is on in the global save

I have an idea that might work, or get it close to what you propose. Try looking for those scripts that let you change your title screen (and commands), and seeing if you can use one of those to show the new mode when there exists any save with that switch on (as that is how most of those work is they check all save games to see if any have that switch on).

Now, it will have the disadvantage that if the player deletes their saves, the new mode will no longer show, but even a global save would still have that issue as well (as in, the player could delete the global save, and reset it). But, it might be more stable as the title screen scripts have been around longer and are more widely used.

One suggestion though: back up your project before trying this. And actually, always back up your project before adding scripts. That will prevent the previous disaster.

having to delete the global save directly (by deleting the actual file) is exactly what I want

it needs to be a global save that you can turn on a switch in from other saves (via a script call)

cause not only do i want there to be star icons in the extras menu (to show that you've finished the extra mode)

but also that in the extras menu there would be a place to enter a code that if you get it right it will unlock that extra mode early

i figured out how to put a "extras" option into the title screen but i dont know how to make it do anything

like go to a specific map. i already put in the add_command("Extras", :Extras) into the Create Command list

part of Window_TitleCommand

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
