[SIZE=12pt]When all is said and done, Extreme.David shares a lot in common with your typical JRPG. However, a lot of major twists are made to increase the difficulty and to keep things interesting. Here are some examples:[/SIZE]

[SIZE=12pt]-No Basic Attack Button:[/SIZE]



[SIZE=12pt]One of the biggest sins that a JRPG can commit is being so easy you hardly ever have to use skills, you just mash the button to win. Well then, what if that button never existed in the first place? Every move you make in the game will have to cost something, wherever it’s HP, Your chance to attack, or War Points.[/SIZE]

[SIZE=12pt]What’s War Points you say? Glad you asked.[/SIZE]

[SIZE=12pt]-War Points:[/SIZE]



[SIZE=12pt]War Points is this game’s skill resource, most skills require it. It’s a heavily modified TP system where the only way to Regan WP is to Charge, which is more or less guarding. Learning to balance your WP when using skills and knowing when to charge is part of mastering this game.[/SIZE]

[SIZE=12pt]-Area Aftereffects[/SIZE]



[SIZE=12pt]Area Aftereffects can be thought as bonus effects. Whenever specific skills are used in specific locations, the terrain around you will respond. Depending on the skill or surroundings, different effects will happen. For example, using a huge fire skill within the forest will cause your surroundings to catch on fire, which allows all fire skills after that to do more damage while water skills do less (There is no Fire or Water skills in this game, sadly). OR, for an example in game, using a holy spell in an ice cave will cause light to be reflected off the walls, making everyone on the field blind... Including you. Seriously people, be cautious on where you use your skills, and be sure to try old skills in new areas![/SIZE]

[SIZE=12pt]The region of Teleca is made up of four kingdoms. Seacliff, Labyrinth, North, and Icicle. Each Kingdom has a monarch, but they are mostly figureheads. It’s common knowledge that a council is responsible for keeping the development of the kingdoms in check so one man won’t have too much power.[/SIZE]

Playable:



[SIZE=12pt]David - A member of the Arcai race who became a NEET after his best friend, the second to last Arcai, died. Yeah, he’s depressed, but I wouldn’t call him emo, he’s just not good at expressing himself. His social skills are also quite lacking at times, but give the guy a break when your realize how old he was when he spoke his first word.[/SIZE]



[SIZE=12pt]Divad - David’s best human friend, he forgot his actual name, so he justed uses David’s name backwards (very creative). He likes to crack jokes and has a bad time reading the actual mood to some situations, but he’s an okay guy.[/SIZE]



[SIZE=12pt]Charla - A foreigner from the west who lives at an inn her parents work at. She loves to fight and is actually a bit more powerful than David or Divad. She’s easily to most social out of the group of friends, so she hates it when David answers with an awkward silence.[/SIZE]

Non-Playable:

[SIZE=12pt]Grace - She’s dead, obviously a motivation excuse. Moving on.[/SIZE]



[SIZE=12pt]Tatsuya - A descendant of an ancient hero 500 years ago. He’s taken a living in training kids to live in the outside world with monsters because he does not like how the military does it.[/SIZE]



[SIZE=12pt]Rorensu - A member of the council of Teleca. He’s actual not that important to the story, but he has the resources to look into things for the sake of keeping the pace of the story consistent.[/SIZE]

[SIZE=12pt]Rina - A member of the Tengu race who spends her life working in many different jobs. She finally settled with a guarding job in her home village. She's over a thousand years old and had been playing Video Games and Watching anime ever since they were invented. A real Otaku if you ask me.[/SIZE]

Gotta love Photoshopped Title screens.



Just imagine how much damage this would do if HP was capped.



When a character says this, you know for certain someone died.



Yes, there is a (somewhat) logical reason for all the rocks on the screen.



New character Rina! She's not playable in this game, but maybe in a later title because I really like what I did with this character.
