Hey so I don't know how long I've had this issue because at least since last year I've had no need to access this menu but I just got the two SNES-style controllers I ordered in the mail, and they work in RMMV which is great but while the d-pad is mapped correctly--up is up, etc.--the "y" button is mapped to "C" in RPG Maker and the other seven buttons do nothing. When I tried to open the Game Properties menu to map my gamepad properly, nothing happens.

When I press F1 key (the only way I know of to access the options/keymap screen, I think it's technically called the "Game Properties" screen) inside of test play OR in game.exe, full screen or windowed, nothing happens. My keyboard does not have a function key, so it's not that. At a loss here. Thankfully I can keep developing and test playing as I have been, w/ keyboard input, but this is rather vexing.

VERSION: 1.6.2 (which is I think the current one but it's not clear)

I am dumb yet again. (But so is RPG Maker this time.)

RPG Maker MV does not have the Game Properties window, like the previous XP, VX and VX Ace programs.

Also, there are no options for fullscreen, gamepad and keyboard by default, and all of them need to be implemented via plugins.

By default, this Maker suppors only X-Input gamepads, or XBox 360/One/Series X controllers. Keyboard inputs works the same as in previous versions by default.

whaaaaaaaaaaa?????

why would they do this? I have never understood why the people that make this series REMOVE basic, essential functionality in newer versions? (actually in this case it makes a little more sense than most as I think this is the first version that has tried to have compatibility w/ Apple, consoles, etc.)

Is there a basic unobtrusive plugin that will let me quickly and easily remap my controller (that I don't really know the inputs of but I'll figure it out somehow)?

This was literally one of the most hated features on Ace and one of the main reasons I jumped to MV as soon as it was announced. (not the ability to configure the controllers per se, but the way it was implemented).

There are several plugins to handle it on MV, this thread should have links to some of them:

I've decided to delay work on the Shadowstar Trilogy until we know more about MLP G5. And I've also decided to make "Attack on Equestria", the sequel, take place in the G5 world.
In case you're wondering, Shadowstar and the other Alicorn Guardians are immortal. They gave it up for some reason, I'm not spoiling why. But until G5 is out, I'll work on Magi in Ponyland instead.

I've updated the background!
My first test playthrough of my game clocked in at 1 hour and 15 minutes. Once the opening and ending are properly implemented, I'd expect a blind playthrough to last around 2 hours.
This time introducing INDIVIDUAL terrain lights feature for upcoming MAJOR UPDATE for all of my MZ plugins.
