F9 for switches isn't working for me. Is there another to reach it?

I need help turning off switches that you could reach with the F9 key. The F9 key only works in game. But in editing, it brings up the database.

Yanfly put a Debug feature into the menu. The debug feature is exactly that.

I don't know about VX, as I have MV, but I don't really see the point of opening switches in the editor since they are neither on or off. From what I've seen, VX is similar to MV, so if you want to edit your switches, you can just make a temporary event and open the switches menu in the conditions.

F9 is only meant to bring up the debug menu in-game. It's not meant to do it in the editor.

A bit confused about what you're trying to do - you don't turn switches on/off in the editor anyway.

The only way to get a list of switches in the editor is to go into an event and pretend to make a command that requires you to select a switch. If you're adding new switches, just make sure you hit Apply, which updates the database, and then you can cancel out of creating the command.

I made a new map with nothing in it and started a new game. And press F9 in-game and the 4 switches are already on. I can turn them off in-game. But they don't stay off. I made an event. Gave it a switch and checked and turned off the switches that are stuck on. I don't know how to save them like that. I exit and they are back on again.

Then you have added a script and not set it up correctly - or not reserved those switches for the script's use so you don't accidentally use them for other things.

The very first thing you should do when you add a new script is look for any switches or variables it uses. If you already use those switches/variables for something else, change the script to use different ones that you aren't already using. And then (whether you've changed them or not), go into an event, open the Control Switches/Variables commands, and name those switches/variables so it's clear they're used by the script. That way you'll know not to use them for other things. Hit Apply to save the names to the database, then cancel out of the command.

I wish there was a way to see switch/variable names in the database. It's a pain creating dummy events / commands just to get access to the list.

Well, I was thinking of just switching them off in the intro. Since those switches are on other events. I also tried opening up an old copy of my game and removed all the scripts. No change.

What switches are they?
Also, copy my game remove scripts no change, that could mean, you have an event, maybe common, or something else.
Try an empty game, nothing in it, un touched. See what happens.
You have to start some where, and might as well make it the beginning.

1st step, clean game.
2nd, add scripts to clean game, one by one.
3rd, go through all your common events
4th go through all your events, let's hope you don't have to do this, XD.

usually 1 and 2 fix it for me. I thinK I have a script that can search switches and variables being used. I'll look it up.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
