Hi all.

Using Khas's awesome light effects, and can't seem to fade to white. This is what I've got:

s = $game_map.effect_surfaces.change_color(120,255,255,255,255)Some of you may be aware that the screen tinting event option is disabled with Khas' light effects script. So I must use this command somehow, to do fades to white. At the moment there is no effect here at all.

Please could someone shed some light on this (harhar!) conundrum?

Thank ye,

GC

P.S. As the screenshot shows, it also doesn't fade to black :(

Here's a link to the script.

I'm about to close up for the evening so I can't look it up, but I'm SURE someone had the same problem just in the last few days. If you look through the first couple of pages of this forum (RGSSx Script Support) you might be able to find it. I'm pretty certain they got a solution.

That was me too, Shaz. I guess I didn't have it sorted after all >_O Or maybe it's a different problem. But anyway, since then I'm swapped the script for a slightly different one, which made static lights work. But the command still doesn't work during cut-scenes. I wonder if it's some kind of clash with the graphic that's being shown over the top? I'm wondering whether those graphics use a z-index, and the transparency around the graphic, may be replacing the tint.. But even if that's right, what can be done about it?

One update:

It seems like Khas's command for the game map surface only makes shades. I think the command is actually running fine, it just can't create white. Seems odd.

Would anyone know another way to fade to white and keep it white for a duration?

So.. no-one had any ideas about this, so I had to get creative.

My solution:

Make a white screen map. Fade to white transfer character. Make char transparent. Do picture events. Fade to white transfer to new map.
