Hello! Another year has come, and with it, another IGMC!!! We were so grateful for the experience with last year's entry of Dear Edwin, and the feedback from the community was absolutely amazing. We had such a great time, met some amazing people, and played some really wonderful games. This community is so amazingly talented, and we will never forget that experience.

In that same spirit, Lazy Bum Studios has reunited this year to bring you another exciting project!

It has been a crazy month full of time delays, place holders, holiday conflicts, and a general Murphy's Law of situations, but in the end, we were able to put together a short demo of which we are quite proud. With that, we are happy to present to you, Fading Remnants! We hope you enjoy the playthrough as much as we enjoyed the creation, and we look forward to your feedback!
Story2.png
The earth has changed these past few years. Humanity is a lonely shell of what it once was, and the world is a very different place. In the face of such hardship, how does one cope with loss, and how far would you go for family?

In a small country town overcome by nature, Lia and her friends are on the trail of someone they hold very dear. Journey with them as they meet strange new people, solve puzzles, and search for answers in a world that has forgotten mankind. If Lia can push through the haunting memories of her past, perhaps she'll discover a path toward something that feels closer to home.

(We can take it, we swear) We're looking forward to checking out some of the other entries, as well. Happy making, and Happy IGMC2018!

Hi!

The work was shared equally amongst the team, but yes, everything in the game is custom. MV is a wonderful engine, and the possibilities are limited only by your imagination...and sometimes patience. :dizzy:

We really hope you enjoy the game. Please let us know what you think! :)

Thanks! And you should totally play it! Yes, the team is wonderful. We got together for last year's IGMC, and we were excited for another opportunity to work on something together. @hiddenone , @Plueschkatze , and @futrchamp are some of the most talented people I've met. You should definitely give the game a run through, and let us know what you think! Would love to get your feedback. :)

@futrchamp was cool enough to put together the OST, and make it available on his bandcamp page. Definitely go and check it out! Honestly, the music was one of my favorite parts of this project. Even if you don't download and play the game, you should at least give this a listen. Well worth the time. :D

I usually don't play games without a battle system but the girl in the front with the backpack hooked me here. (I'm a sap)

From the story, I got a hint of dread of a post-apocalyptic earth.

Although the game is currently lacking in the puzzle and story department, the art, environment, and music made the game feel alive. The animal-humans feel like they belong. I hope the story is expanded upon.

I'm bad at base-building games (looking at other players created an aesthetically beautiful base compared to me), but IDK why I keep playing the game and seek more of it.
Pyra and Mythra in smash ultimate are way too OP. They're basically Smash 4 Bayonetta 2.0, and not in a good way. Very toxic and unfair. At least they're hot tho.
attack on titan keep reaching a new height with each episode, aaa I can't wait another week for a new episode at this point
How do i make profile picture
I've just finished organizing music files from a music Humble Bundle I purchased a while ago (putting in specific themed playlists, deleting from playlists, deciding which games they'll be used for. etc.). I'm feeling pretty confident that the sound design for my games will be up to high standards. Sound design seems to be relatively under-discussed as a topic in game development imo.
