I'm using Falcao's ABS system (https://falcaorgss.wordpress.com/category/pearl-abs-liquid/) and a big drawback of it is that enemies will try to attack the player even when they are out of range, or in an adjacent room (behind walls). I'm not aware of any way to set the range at which the enemy attacks (only the distance that an attack will cause damage), so the enemies basically attack objects/walls, or try to use their attacks while running towards the player.
Does anyone know of a way to set the max attack distance, or is there a way to script it so that the enemies only attack when within range?
Ideally, the enemy AI would cause them to find a route around the objects, but I think this is too complex.
