Farm Mapping Contest - Voting

I wanted to share who I voted for and why:

mlogan: Hell to the yeah for underwater farming.

thatbennyguy: Detailed but not overloaded and I can see how a player could navigate the map.

There are so many good entries, so difficult to choose.

I really love Baka-Chans Map, it looks very bright and playful. I don't know, I just like the vibe of it

I also like Irilis Map, because it has clear zones and is very well-arranged while still managing to have some nice details.

I wanted to vote for those, but the voting says I already voted. I'm a bit confused about that. Voting is disabled for participants? I'm fine with that

And thanks for those who already voted for me My map is done with overlay mapping, but I tested it thoroughly ingame for playability ^^ You can see it a little bit in my effects video in the other thread.

I voted for Candacis and Pinkpeach, I tried to divide my criteria between aesthetics and believability, there were a couple of maps that were 'prettier' and looked better as maps but just didn't really look like farms to me(which was the point of the contest). A couple of others that were in the lineup for me were Zachfoss and Irili, though there were many other great maps as well.

@Candacis: If it is disabled for participants then it bugged with me, since it let me vote.

@Chaos17: What I did was look it over and think "If this were in a game, would I have a clear idea of where the important locations are and how to get to them? Does this look easy to move in or would it be frustrating? Would this map serve a purpose?" I don't need to actually try the map out to do that.

I voted for one that looks great and playable, and another that looks great but not very playable at all.

It is rather obvious where my first vote went, my foolish pride and all.


My other vote went to Zachfoss due that map is just plain awesome and well detailed. It actually looks like farm on a sunny day.

Yes, viewing the results first before choosing registers as a vote (and it would totally be unfair to let you vote after seeing the results, as that may skew your vote).

I voted for Dalph because he had the finest RTP map, and EyesUnclouded because his was a very original take. All the best to the rest.

I know my map was a little cluttered but two things

• It was never going to be in a game so I wanted a lot going on
• Also it was my first parallax map so I wanted to see what and how much I could do.

but I was a big fan of about 5 or 6 of these maps plus Benny, myself, and few other participants had a little bit of map freeze tag going on which was really enjoyable!
