Not been able to do it properly with photobucket in the past, but I will see if it works for this imgur link...why not use the img tags so we don't have to open them on another tab?![]()
Ah, that's how it works then. ThanksI think you need the RAW image link not the link to the page (maybe right click the image and choose open image in new tab then copy the link of the new tab that opened)... The banners on GMD are on imgur (I think) so I'm sure you can do it.
I like the look of the map though. nice work
thanks.I see some extra stuff on that one Sky, like there are lines below some of the grass looking things on the left and right of the cat.
It was a parallax map, would have taken to much work to redo it, lolyou removed the grass all along... lolz
No, if you have utilized layers (assuming you're using at least Paint.net or more advanced softwares)It was a parallax map, would have taken to much work to redo it, lol
It matters not; we judge based on the map, not on which sprites you've used.Quick question, if we use sprites in our screenshots, are we limited to standard rtp or can we use other sprites, for instance mack sprites, too?
I would begin to think though that alterations to the scene would make it more of a screenshot contest than a map contest, though.mlogan's map isn't an entry... he cannot since his maps will contain resources from others than those allowed, so he's just showing off screenies...@Usain - I do hope we could... at least lightings as I originally plan to make a night scene (or a day-to-night scene if video), and lighting will play a huge role on the night scene
I hadn't intended to enter since we are limited in tiles and I just really need to focus primarily on my project right now (and a couple of other things I've taken on already) and I know that I would end up spending too much time on this contest. But since Lunarea said I could submit an non-contest map, I did. However! You are most welcome to make non-contest maps/screenshots. I'm sure they will be incredibly inspiring to participants.
And I will try to have a little surprise for those who participated with non-contest maps.![]()
Not really sure what the difference is, but as you can see in the quote above from Lunarea, it would seem that either is acceptable. I mean, isn't a screenshot simply a picture of a map?I would begin to think though that alterations to the scene would make it more of a screenshot contest than a map contest, though.
