There's actually someone I know that genuinely likes that game.

No joke.
Yeah, I know some people liked it, even some youtube users expressed how they didn't hate the game with a video. Well, I do agree that it wasn't all THAT bad for 1982.....

Let me add Tales of Phantasia, and tales of Eternia as my favourite childhood game.

Superman 64. I'll always adore this game, for reasons completely unintended by the developers, I'm certain.

Super Mario All Stars (yes, I know it's technically four games, but whatever)

Final Fantasy Mystic Quest (YES)

Final Fantasy Legend (ironically called Mystic Quest in France)

Super Punch-Out!

Secret of Mana and Secret of Evermore.

But if I have to really select one, then I'll chose the one that made me hooked on video games to begin with: Barbarian The Ultimate Warrior, on this good old Amstrad.

Hmm... depends on how early childhood :p

Dungeons and Dragons, Ultimate Frisbee, The original LARP'ing (kids beating each other with sticks in the back yard B) )

There was one computer game we played in school: Taipan I think or something like that. You started off as a lowly merchant with a small ship selling rice and moved up to selling arms and silk and finally you became an opium dealer. We didn't have Oregon Trail, but I'll bet this was better.

Abe's Odyssey. That game scared the crap out of me when I was younger, but I couldn't find another copy of it. It was pretty advanced and unique for it's time, I mean, with the pre-rendered backgrounds and all, it was just like, 'dayuuuuuuuum'. At least that's what I thought of it. It turned out my friend still had her copy of the game, so we played it on her Ps2 (got through about 1/3 of the game before she told me she didn't have a PS1 memory card). You know what's funny? Usually when I play an old game, I can beat it easily because the last time I had played it I was younger and stupider. Not here though, I don't think I've had my ass handed to me that bad since I played DMC3's normal mode.

Oh, speaking of Ps1 games, I doubt anyone on here might've played Duke Nukem: Land of the Babes? I remember me and my bestie couldn't even get past the second level, but we loved the multiplayer.

Favourite games from childhood....

Well, I would say in my very childhood (primary school)

- Elite

- Megaman 3

- TMNT

- Bubble Bobble

- Super Mario Bros

- Zelda

- Doom 2 (a lifelong trauma my favorite game ever ever ever ever.....)

- Solstice (a terribly underrated game, I order you to try!!)

Then if "childhood" includes my teenage times

- Zelda 3

- Breath of fire 2

- Secret of mana

- Chrono Trigger

- Still Doom 2

- Super Ghouls and Ghosts

- Starwing / Starfox

- any Street fighter (life long trauma as well)

- yoshi's island

I guess that's all ^^

In the latest news, I still regularly play Doom, Doom 2, Doom 3, Final Doom and super turbo turkey puncher 3 :p

Either Metal Gear Solid or FF7. Never beat any of them in my youth, I was terrible at games back then.

Come to think of it, I've never beaten FF7 to this day.

Sonic 3 and Knuckles.

- Sonic is what got me into gaming, and he's been my favorite character since

Megaman 8:

- This was my first Megaman game, and when I popped this into the playstation I was blown away. It was difficult (at least in the perspective of a 12-14 year old kid who has never played a megaman game before) but I really enjoyed it. This game got me into the series needless to say.

Pokemon Blue:

- ... Okay who wasn't obsessed with this franchise when they were kids!?

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
