Let's see.... I think these following games count as my childhood games since I played them during my elementary school days... grades K-6.
Doom 2 ...or was it 1? -
PC - First game I ever played and I think I was 2nd or 3rd grade... don't really remember bit it was SOOOOOO long ago and full of so much win.
Star Wars Shadows of the Empire -
N64. Didn't hear anything about this game when I saw it in a store. I ended up playing this one to death. And it is easily my favorite game of all time.
Goosebumps: Escape from Horrorland -
PC - This will always be a classic. And the first time the werewolf bursts into the room you're in and scared the sh*t outta me, my brother, and our friend. The ensuing chase is one of the most vivid gaming memories I have.
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time -
N64 - 'Nuff said.
Mario Party 1/2;
Super Smash Bros.;
Goldeneye 007;
Mario Cart -
N64 - All of these games were time wasters from me and my friends. Excellent party games and spent hours playing them.
Dragon Warrior Monsters -
Game Boy Color - Played this more than the Pokemon games at the time even though I spent hours playing them... Dragon Warrior Monsters just always stands out to me.
Oh my! I almost forgot!!
Sid Meier's Gettysburg -
PC - An amazing strategy game that got me into strategy gaming in the first place. I played this more than any other game at the time and is one of the best (or most memorable) strategy games I've played.
and
Midnight Rescue -
PC - Oooh how much I played this game. It was very enjoyable at the time.
Games that could easily be on this list: Red Alert 2, Kessen, Fifa 98, Police Quest: SWAT 2, Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six (N64), Super Mario 64, Star Wars: Rogue Squadron (64), and Oregon Trail.
