Let's see...
Turn-Based RPGs.
I love them. You know, stuff like Dragon Quest. Mostly JRPGs in that sense.
But also stuff like Divinity Original Sin, Steamworld Quest, Heroes of Might and Magic or Kings Bounty
Regular RPGs (Real-Time).
Also love them, not as much though.
Stuff like Diablo II, Titan Quest and Grim Dawn.
Not a big fan of open-world games like Witcher, Skyrim etc. Except Dragon Age, thats fine.
Turn-Based Strategy games.
Probably my favourite genre of games, or atleast tied with Turn-Based RPGs.
Most of them have RPG as a sub-genre anyways.
Some of my favourite games include, but are not limited to; Darkest Dungeon, the XCOM series, Into the Breach, Steamworld Heist.
Real-Time Strategy games.
Also love them, not as much as Turn-based RPG and Strategy games though.
Things like Warcraft III, Age of Empires, Empire Earth, Warhammer 40k, Factorio, They are Billions
Ego-Shooter.
I'm very picky when it comes to Ego-Shooter. Most of them don't really speak to me.
Especially "modern shooters" I don't like (things like CoD, Battlefield and Counter Strike)
I do love things like Half-Life, System Shock and Left 4 Dead though.
Chill games.
Yes, I am talking to you, Factorio and Stardew Valley.
Things I don't generally like (obviously there are exceptions to these):
- Open-World games (semi-open world I can tolerate, like Dragon Quest)
- Point and Click adventures
- Horror games (except Phasmophobia thats kinda fun tbh)
- Sport games of any kind
- Pure Story games (Life is strange, Telltale games etc. -> Love watching them though)
- Simulator games
- Many puzzle games (There are exceptions like the Portal Series or C.U.B.E.)
