Hello Everyone,

I have a rather complicated request that search engines cannot handle in order to help me with my question.

So I will ask you lovely people directly. ☺️

I have a simple fetch quest, it's in a location that you go through before meeting the NPC in question. The NPC has lost an item, but I want the item to appear in the said location, but only after speaking to the NPC.

Then the item then disappears in that location never to be seen or interacted with again.

I did make the fetch quest, but the coins keeps appearing before I spoke to the NPC.

I hope this has made some sense to someone. Being autistic, it's right in my head, but it's hard to get it out for people.

I Googled "rpg maker mv quest tutorial" - the first two examples are both fetch quests. The first one uses a merchant, but the second uses an event you interact with, just as you describe :wink:


He uses a variable to track the quest progress and deactivate the event - you would have three pages on your map event. The first is blank. The second shows the coins, with a condition of the quest variable being >=1. The third is blank again, with a condition of the quest variable being >=2.

You would also benefit from doing a few generic event tutorials - manipulation of event pages is considered to be a pretty fundamental technique.

I'm just gonna remove the Dark Spells from my game. They wouldn't be fighting Gods or Angels. So why have it?
