Is there anyway to make a state like "trouble" in final fantasy 9?

For those unfamiliar...in FF9 trouble is a state that makes every character in the team receive damagetogether with the character that has the trouble state...for example

Actor 1 has trouble and is hit with a fire spell...every character in the team is hit with the fire spell...

So basically is a state that spread whatever damage is give to the "troubled" character...does anybody know a way of programing a state like that?

I can't think of any clean way (that wouldn't involve changing the formula for every single damage skill and having it run a common event afterwards) to do this without a Script. I also don't know of any Script that implements this state, so you'd probably have to either make it from whole cloth (by modifying the method where HP is subtracted after damage is dealt (hint: this method is def execute_damage(user) and it can be found in Game_Battler) or request that some kind soul makes it for you on the RGSS3 Script Requests board.

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
