it was either Kingdom Hearts or Oblivion. My fave JRPG has to be Chrono Trigger on DS.

Final Fantasy 4, I remember rushing back from school and ignoring my homework to play it for hours.
My first RPG is hard to pin down. I know the first JRPG I saw was the original Final Fantasy at my friends house.
I'm sure I played some RPGs before on my Commodore 64 (or at least tried to, they were copied disks my cousins gave me and my brother so we didn't have any manuals or anything), but JRPGs pulled me in with the streamlined way they go about it.
Final Fantasy Origins, Final Fantasy 1. At first I didn't even know about weapons and equipping and had my friends explain it to me. It was hard going because I didn't know english at the time, but I managed to beat it. Eventually I also beat FF2, after spending a long time on the first part before realizing you didn't need to speak to the knight at the gate and could just enter the city and wander around.
Lufia2 I played many hours. I have made several and several times
Just like me!
Then came Legend of Legaia, Golden Sun, Link's Awakening... and started looking for classic games from the SNES (FFVI <3) and not much later, classic RPG Maker games.
Aaah... nostalgia feels.
