Hi all,

Ok, so here is my question:
I am trying to make one of the flame events autonomously move, with no success.
I get how to make it animate as a flickering flame, and I get how to make NPCs and animals move autonomously - for the life of me though, I cannot get the flame event to BOTH flicker AND move around the map.

I have tried every combination of stepping\walking and autonomous movement, parallel processing, scripted moveroute movement, but nothing seems to work.
All I've managed to achieve is making the flame stop flickering, or making it flicker faster!
I can't even get the flame to move around the map when it isn't flickering.

What am I doing wrong? Can it be done?
Does any of the above make sense?!

Thank you very much! :)

Could you please try to make a Screenshot of the Event and its Moveroute Setting? It's more easy to see what you're trying to accomplish then ;)

It sure can be done, but I'm not exactly sure what you're missing :)

Ok, here's a couple of screenshots!

I want this flame to be able to move autonomously AS WELL as flicker. I can make it do the flicker flame animation, BUT if I change the Autonomous Movement section it does not make the flame move around the map. Moveroute in the script area does not seem to work either.

How do I get this flame to move like this? :(

Does that help? :)

I would really love to know what I am doing wrong and YES I KNOW that the autonomous movement section in the picture is set to FIXED, it is for illustration purposes! :D

No, because those screenshots does not contain anything to show us what you did.

And your comments on the screenshot are wrong - both autonomous movement and set move route WILL work if done correctly - if they didn't work for you, then that is because you used the options in the wrong combination.

So please try to make the events again, and if they still don't work then show us screenshots including the commands as you have done them - then we can see what you did wrong and tell you how to correct them.

Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
