Please consider taking a look at my game. :)
Comedy and adventure, SNES-like custom graphics, minigames and sidequests, around 15 hours long.

New vid is up. Episode 51.
This game has you build up your inn. Very interesting game.
Reminds me of those farm sim games.

Thanks for your remarks on the art, the animations and the retro look of the game, that's exactly what we intended with this project, and, of course, for taking the time of making a video on your channel! We're really happy that you enjoyed the humor of the game. :)
Later on the no-story gets more storier, by the way. :kaopride:
Thanks a lot as well for your advice that will help us make the game better, we'll consider some of your ideas like balancing some enemies, speeding through the text or the one of restoring HP & MP upon leveling up. That's pretty neat and we didn't come up with that.
Also, Mofi is intended to be moved to the back row, especially during the beginning of the game. Yeah, we definitely should have set it that way by default. :kaoswt2:

About the shortcut thing, once you get the secret, there's a route made of bushes you can use and which takes you straight to the entrance of the valley. Also you can revisit the dungeon (or bungeon, it was intentional :D) now you can walk through the bushes and find new areas and treasure. The same goes for the Dragon cave (to the South :p), after beating the dragon and getting the key, there's a purple door in the area before the boss that takes you to the first village. There are a lot more secret passages like that, too.
And as for the magic pouch, it's just a menu for key items and collectibles, like skins and such.
About the language, there's not much bad language in the game but a couple characters do have a bit of a foul mouth, so I've been thinking of making a "clean version". Do you think it's a good idea? Did you find it uncomfortable to read?

Thanks so much for playing the game and sharing it! The video was absolutely great!

Oh there are shortcuts after the dungeon ends? I must of completely missed them. Good thing though.
Secrets, secrets and more secrets!

I don't think you need a clean version. I'd just have one version either with the bad language or without.
Games do tend to feel more immature and teen edgy though when the dialogue is foul.

I'm glad you found my advice useful. I enjoyed playing the game quite a lot. My favorite part being the eyeless guy dragging the main character to his next destination against his will. For a character without dialogue he sure expresses himself well!

That wasn't the end of the demo. Since you were on low health and died. When Valerie left the party, there was no one in the party alive so it automatically transitioned to Game Over....Sorry!

Oh, that's interesting. Makes sense. Gotta say I've not encountered a situation like that before. Way of fixing that is to recover the players hp by 1 if they're at 0 at that point in the game where Valerie leaves.

Realized halfway through drawing this that the female protagonist's party is growing bigger. :guffaw:
oddly enough, at this point... 3 major things have kept me from porting my project to MZ... animations, and that's mainly because they don't match the artstyle of my game. and two... I NEED a YED Sideview Battler like plugin and I have yet to see one. 3rd, I don't have the money for all the stuff I need plugin wise. and I already have it on MV... lol
Generally speaking, would there be interest in some form of tutorial regarding general project management? I see there are a lot of indie/self-taught devs around here, and looking back i feel like there was a lack of resources on how to properly manage a project that might take several years to finish
I've been working on some ABS team A.I. for 'A New Suburbia', and thought I'd share.

I'm generally quite please although the AI is a little grenade heavy right now  - Sneaking and stalking next! Please excuse the terrible map... it was just for ease of viewing!
