I would like to request an extensive kind of title screen using pictures. Remember the ones in Playstation where you have these simplistic title screen where you press start and then the menu comes in? I would like to have a similar script, if any kind scripters would place their time and considering this request.

I have an example, first, you press start:

then when you do, the same title screen appears but now shows your menu. I am sorry I can't find other kinds of images to represent what I like.

I would also like the script to be flexible. By flexible, I mean we can add new options and graphic to the menu. For example, we may have some games where you have: new Game, Load Game, Option, Select Difficulty, Movie Mode, Quit... and it would be sad not to be able to use the script in the game if its not customizable. I have a fair understanding of scripts, so I would like the script maker who would make this to give me a space where to place the customizing area for the script to fit in.

Thank you very much and hope my script gets done someday by someone. May Odin bless you.

You can do this with events actually.

Search the master script list for "splash screen" scripts. there is one that allows you to define a map as a screen, and you can then use regular event commands on that map to do whatever you want, either calling the regular titlescreen after some picture and command effects, or bypassing the titlescreen completely for your own start definitions.

For your first screen, you can accomplish this using splash screen maps

You control the entire splash screen using events. Flexible? Depends on your eventing skills.

Here's a sample:

For your second question, having a flexible title screen is a difficult problem. This is because the default command window is kind of terrible to work with.

It would be better to just roll your own evented solution using pictures and a cursor as your player graphic, even if you have to be the one that figures out how to do it.

This is the closest I have seen to an evented title screen.

Having a good balance between scripts and events is the real challenge.

so hopefully tomorrow i get to go home from the hospital i've been here for 5 days already and it's driving me mad. I miss my family like crazy but at least I get to use my own toiletries and my own clothes. My mom is coming to visit soon i can't wait to see her cause i miss her the most. :kaojoy:
Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
