Okay, I'm working on a dungeon with a theme of symmetry. This dungeon is perfectly symmetrical in practically every way. However, I do not have inverted music to complete the feeling of symmetry.

I need the VX Ace RTP track 'Dungeon 4' inverted, so that low notes are high and high notes are low.

To give you a better idea of what exactly I need, listen to these two tracks:

(Stone Tower Temple)http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AqjftaR3G6M (Inverted version).

(While it doesn't sound inverted at first, you can tell just by how the notes play that the low notes are now high, and the high notes are now low.)

I thank you in advance for any help you give.

Well, in order to get what you're looking for, a person would have to have the original music transcribed and then use whatever keyboard synthesizer the original author used and change the notes accordingly.  If it's a non-issue that it would sound different at the base level, then someone could probably pull this off by re-arranging the piece by ear.

I would, however, I'm rather busy at the moment.  Good luck though.

I want it to sound as close to the original as possible, same tempo and whatnot. Perhaps there is a program that would do this?

Not really.  The thing about music manipulation is that you can't just run it through a program and expect top-notch results (doesn't matter how fancy the program sounds or how much they promote it).  You'd have to have a good composer that can recreate it.  Getting it to sound as close to the original as possible...you might have to pay someone to remake it and the problem with that, as well, is that they may not have the same keyboard or synthesizer used in the original music, thus getting it to sound as close to the original as possible would be really hard.

My suggestion?  Find some free MIDI music that sounds good and ask a musician on the site to work on two versions of that.  It's, by far, the easiest and least costly way of getting the results you want.

Actually, Audacity inverts the waveform, not the notes. It sounds exactly the same. I had tried it before making this topic.

If you're still looking for somebody to do the inversion for you, give me a PM :)

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
