Hello. This script is a staple of old RPGs that I grew up on. The script actually exists already for VX, but as far as I know has not been made to VX Ace.

I think this could see a lot of use if it were made for VX Ace.
Thank you
EDIT: I tried just pasting the RGSS2 script into VX Ace to see what would happen, expecting a crash. It actually works, kind of. If you are in the top-left "13x17" square of any map, it works. As soon as you venture further to the right or downward beyond that initial 13x17 area, the fog center moves 2 squares for every square that the hero does. Can someone please figure out how to fix this?

It is really interesting to use in roguelike (or normal) RPGs because it encourages exploration. You don't get to automatically know what's around each corner--just like you wouldn't in real life.Fog Of War Explanation:
With the Fog Of War, there are 3 parts of a map, "visible", "explored" and
"unexplored".
Visible parts you can see everything as one normally would.
Explored you see the generall area, like tiles and maybe events.
Unexplored is pure lack space, which nothing can be seen.
Areas are marked as "explored" as soon as it becomes "visible" by the player.![]()

Thank you
