Why does RPG Maker MV force your fonts to be white with a black border? Is there any way to make it pure black or pure white, or any other color? Thanks.

You can use YEP Message Core to remove or change the black font outline as well as change the font color in message windows. Or you can change line 893 (version 1.5.1) of rpg_core.js to remove or change the width of the font outline for the entire project.

Or you can use pixi text if you want :D I covered the basics of it in my DIY tutorial series if you want to at least take a look.

If you want completely custom font colors,
I highly recommend SRD's amazing Custom Colors plugin.
Which is located here.
The plugin sets the color of the font to the exact color code you want.
Note: When you hit preview, it won't show it. You will see in the actual game/test though.
That link to SRD's page even comes with a tutorial he made on how to use it.
To use SRD's Custom Colors plugin, you may need to have SRD's Game Upgrade plugin as well which is here.

But along with what Ossra said, yes, yes, yes, use YEP's Message Core: here.
To use YEP's Message Core though, you will need YEP's Core Engine: here.

Hope this helps.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
