Foot-steps for moving events

So I had this cave thing, and there was an enemy that just murdered some people in it, and i wanted the enemy to leave footsteps of blood behind him as he walks around.

How do i make an event that leaves behind  a certain tile where ever it goes?

Could someone write down a script or something that i could add to the game?

I've got pretty much no experience with rpg maker vx ace and im making my first game on it as a practice, so yeah.

search the forums or the master script list for Galv's scripts - he made on effect script that leaves footsteps.


To do it by events alone would be very difficult (depending on how the enemy moves)

Otherwise you would have to use

and add a new picture of a red footsteps for each tile the person stepped on.

I would recommend that picture fix suggestion only for events and not for moving around the map

Or you could have it so that the screen fade black then you hear footsteps and you place a picture for a trail of bloody footsteps beneath their feet using that script then fade the screen back to normal.

Also, for dramatic camera features you can use

and you can name an event "Camera" then set the camera to follow that event, also.

As i said, im pretty much a noob and have no experience with this thing, so i have no idea how these work... All i have is a tile ready for use. 

Also, theres nothing in the character effects thing that has anything to do with footsteps... How ever, the fix pictures to map is what im looking for, just i have no idea how to apply it to that moving event so that it leaves behind the blood tile. 

If you were wandering, and if it helps in any way, the event moves around randomly, and has an enemy sprite, so it looks like it walks around. When you get near to it, it runs towards you and battle starts. There are some victims around it, and theres a bit of blood, so i wanted him to leave a blood trail behind him for some realism.

Tbh i might as well scrap that idea since im obviously too much of a noob at this thing lol.

Never the less, thanks for the help guys! Appreciate it.

Because I wasn't talking about character effects, I had the region effects in mind:

However, it might be that the region effects are player only, I don't know if you can use them on events.

Yeah, i did double post, i posted the same thing, then later on i forgot about it completely, and noticed the detail in my game, and posted another thing... Whoops :/

Also, yup, the effects are player specific.

I guess we can count this as solved and forget I ever posted?

Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
