I've been trying to create a map in my game of a barren wasteland that used to a lust jungle. But I'm not seeing anything that would fit it in terms of tiles.

Does anyone know of any tilesets that would work for this sort of area? I'm using VX Ace but I can edit tilesets from other versions to work in it.

Imagine a dry land with mounds of rumble and dry bones of what used to be hills and trees with dried up rivers and a deep scar across the land.

I've moved this thread to Resource Requests. Thank you.

I'm not aware of a single tileset which would meet your needs, but perhaps I could suggest a workaround?

There are quite a lot of tilesets with leafless trees Combine these (having quite a lot of them because, after all, this was a forest) with either a desert tileset, or edit a normal tileset so that the grass looks bleached out. Edit a second version so that it is grey'ish to represent burnt land. Mix them, perhaps reserving most of the burnt land version for underneath the leafless trees.

For your dried up river beds, if you haven't got any half-tile cliff tiles, take your Dungeon A2, top right corner autotile. Remove the black in the centre and use it to create the impression of a river bed that is slightly below land level.

For a deep scar, you may be lucky in finding cliffs that fade to black, or you may have to edit these yourself (or make a separate request for someone to edit it for you.) By cliffs fading to black I mean something like this:

I found a good tileset, but it's MV, which I don't have.

Do I need to own MV to use tilesets, even if they're edited for VX Ace?

If the tileset you found contains edits of MV default assets then you must own MV i order to use them. Once you own MV you can use MV and MV-based assets in any other RPG Maker engine that you also legally own.

If, on the other hand, it's original work which is simply formatted for MV, then just follow the Terms of Service of the tileset.

That's certainly good to know. I'll probably port over the desert tileset from XP.

I own XP and VX Ace.

Have you filled this request yet?
I may have some tiles that I can merge together to help you out.
Are you needing it destroyed by modern (bullets, bombs & tanks) or more midieval warfare (axes, arrows, fire and such)?

Some dog owners really impress me. I'm pushing 2-3 metric tons of garbage containers that destroy everything they hit. What do you think is going to happen to your tiny dog when I run it over? And why are you crossing my path to argue with me? Have you never been hit by 200kgs of garbage?

Lesson for you folks. Never mess with an angry garbage container. Or its driver.
I didn't dispose of a file properly and now my whole game won't start: I get a script error in the Scene Manager stage of game launch. What to do? Transfer it all to a new project? That's going to be tedious. Fortunately I am only nine workdays into it.
