RMMV Formulaic Ex-Param Bonuses?

So I'm trying to create the following passive skill, but ran into some issues:
Nimble Footwork - (Passive) Dexterity also increases Evasion by 0.2% per point.

The code I came up w/ for the passive state didn't work:

var dexBonus = user.agi / 500;
user.addEva(dexBonus);
</Custom Apply Effect>
<Custom Remove Effect>
user.minusEva(dexBonus);
</Custom Remove Effect>
The issue isn't the lack of a var for the Remove portion btw (let's focus on Apply 1st lol). Anyways, does anyone have a solution for this? Using Yanfly's plugins of course. Thx in advance everyone. ^.^

Edit: Ok, I just tried the following to no avail...so I'm truly stumped now.

user.addEva(0.1);
</Custom Apply Effect>

Edit2: Lol, I figured it out by thinking outside the box for once. I changed the formula for EVA to this:
(base + plus) * rate + flat + (user.isStateAffected(28) ? (user.luk + user.agi) / 500 : user.luk / 500)
The stateID for the passive is 28, so when a character has that state applied, their AGI is added onto their EVA rate.
